Your path will lead you to Via dei Tribunali, the primary thoroughfare of the old Neapolis, which is also one of the most vibrant and culturally rich areas in Naples. You’ll soon come across the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore at Pietrasanta, featuring its venerable Romanesque bell tower, and the Pontano Chapel, a masterpiece of the Neapolitan Renaissance. A detour takes you to the Cappella Sansevero, home to the exquisite Veiled Christ sculpture, renowned globally. Circling back to Via dei Tribunali, you’ll visit one of the city’s most enigmatic and captivating sites: the underground chambers of the church of Santa Maria delle Anime del Purgatorio in Arco, the birthplace of one of Naples’ most enduring and historic religious practices. The tour culminates with the Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore, a testament to the Angevin era that reveals the city’s early Christian roots, and finally, the Cathedral. Just steps from its striking white facade, you’ll discover a place where layers of Neapolitan history converge, from the late Angevin Gothic period to the Baroque era. BEST TOUR OF NAPLES ! - BEST TOUR EVER! Raffaele is so much fun and so knowledgeable about everything! I will definitely be doing another tour with him! He also made my children fall in love with Naples! 😍.... Highly recommended!

Spiced Wine Galore - Raffaele led us through four ancient spiced wine recipes derived from archaeology and his own research. We all spiced our wines at home with ingredients he’d suggested in advance. I learned a lot about the history of wine, Rome and chemistry. Great fun for a virtual experience!

The Wine Spicing Event - This was a fantastic way to experience Naples during the Pandemic. Raffaelle went through the history of blending spices and wine from Grecian and Roman times through the Renaissance, as we followed his instructions and blended two whites and two reds. They were unexpectedly delicious! We felt transported to another continent, another time.

Virtual Naples! - In 2019 when we were still able to travel internationally, I had the wonderful experience to take the historic tour with Raffaele Romero with my traveling companions. It was a wonderful tour with all the mysteries and history from ancient to modern times. Longing to travel again but unable due to Covid, I discovered that Raffaele was also providing current tours during the "lock down." What a pleasure to revisit sites I had seen on the live tour and to relive the magic and mystery of Naples. Highly recommend the virtual tour and, of course, when we can safely travel again, the live tour.

The Neapolitan spirit - The guide Raffaele (very good) made us enter the Neapolitan history and traditions very naturally, always the guide in my opinion is an authentic Neapolitan spirit.
