A lot of fun and very informative. Highly recommend. - Chiara is a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable and passionate about Naples. She knows a lot about history in general, not just about Naples. Also very patient with questions and helped us find great pizza, mementos, and with navigation.

History overload! Love it - Most educated guide I’ve ever had! A scholar and teacher. I feel smarter now! Be prepared for uneven pavement, graffiti and being on your feet without sitting the whole time. That’s just the nature of the terrain, nothing bad on the tour guide.

2,000+ years of history in less than two hours. - Our tour guide, Enrica, was extremely knowledgeable about Neapolitan and other history (Greek, Roman), styles of architecture, religious and cultural influences, the churches around the city, not to mention the maize of streets and alleyways above and below the ground! (though we didn’t actually go underground, but she described some of them). She arrived early, was very responsive to questions and showed her enthusiasm for her task. It would be nice if we had an earpiece connected to a small intercom box like we did on a tour in Sienna, as the crowds and vehicles made it a little difficult to hear at times, but overall we enjoyed the tour very much and learned a lot. The history of Napoli is quite complex and the tour made me more appreciative of it and anxious to read more about it. I would highly recommend the tour, though make sure you wear comfortable shoes!

Lots to learn in a short time - I have to say we started off a bit unimpressed with the tour but as the time went on we saw many things and got a really good sense of the history and (lasagne) layers that make up Naples. A few surprises along the way, I won’t spoil it, and a ridiculously, over the top, magnificent church at the end. Our guide Camille was very knowledgeable and I think she would have like us all to ask more questions, but she gave us so much info, we really didn’t need to.

I would not recommend - We didn’t feel like we got the history of the city. It was more little things like paintings on walls etc.

Disappointing - We, alongside two other couples, were waiting in wain for a guide that never arrived. When we called the tour operator the explanation was first that they couldn't find our booking. When we pointed out that we had the booking confirmation right in front of us, the explanation changed immediately and it was then that Viator, the platform where we booked the tour, had had technical problems for many days and our booking was therefore pending in the tour operator's system and the guide had therefore not showed up. While I find this second explanation unlikely, given that it changed immediately when we pointed out that we had the booking confirmation, if it is correct, why would the tour operator not inform pending customers of technical issues? If informed, we could rebook or find alternative technical solutions. In any case, I do not have much to say about the tour itself, but the tour operator is not reliable.
