Highlights
  • Duomo di Napoli - Visit the renowned Cathedral of Naples, featuring a small church dedicated to San Gennaro and the miracle of the liquefying blood.
  • Via dei Tribunali - Wander through Via Dei Tribunali and immerse yourself in one of Naples’ most vibrant and unique atmospheres! Here, you can savor the famous Tarallo Napoletano (a spicy salted cookie) and pick your favorite flavor.
  • Via San Gregorio Armeno - Head to the San Gregorio Armeno alley, also known as “la strada dei presepi” in Italian, one of Naples’ most remarkable attractions. Admire the numerous shops showcasing creative nativity scenes and figurines in various styles.
  • Chiesa di Santa Chiara - Explore the Church of Santa Chiara, the largest Angevin Gothic basilica in the city.
  • Spaccanapoli - Stroll along Spaccanapoli, the straight and narrow street that cuts through the historic center of Naples, seemingly dividing the city in two. Time for another tasting!
  • Piazza del Gesu Nuovo - Visit Piazza del Gesu Nuovo, one of Naples’ most stunning squares. It features the Church of the Gesu Nuovo with its unique façade and the Guglia dell’ Immacolata, a striking pinnacle blending Rococo and Gothic art. Walk to the Teatro San Carlo, the world’s oldest continuously operating opera house.
  • Galleria Umberto I - The Galleria is a public shopping gallery in the heart of Naples, Italy. Opened in 1890, it is famous for its beautiful architecture, including a glass dome and iron and steel structure. The gallery is decorated with intricate details, such as floor mosaics, and hosts various shops, cafes, and theaters, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists to enjoy shopping, dining, and cultural events.
  • Piazza del Plebiscito - Discover Piazza del Plebiscito, one of Italy’s most beautiful squares. This grand semicircular square, inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, is surrounded by a neoclassical colonnade. The two equestrian statues in front of the church represent Ferdinand I of Bourbon and Charles III of Bourbon, masterpieces by Antonio Canova.
  • Via Toledo - The final stop is Via Toledo, long considered Naples’ most important avenue, connecting the decumani area to Piazza del Plebiscito. Time for a pizza! The Pizza Portafoglio is a folded pizza (hence the name “portafoglio,” meaning wallet in Italian). Finally, enjoy a dessert—sfogliatella or baba—and a delicious espresso in Piazza Plebiscito!

This tour is a must - This was one of the highlights of my time in Sorrento. You learn about the local produce, farming techniques, history, and you see how that blends into the foods you eat. The timing is great and it wraps up with a nice snack overlooking Pompei and Vesuvius.
