Throughout the entire excursion, your driver will provide detailed information about each site from the comfort of the vehicle. Please note that the tour ticket does not include the admission fee for the archaeological places. Additional services such as guide assistance or an audio guide within the archaeological sites are available upon request, offering you the flexibility to either explore these historical ruins independently or enhance your experience with a guided tour.

Day out to historic sites - Good day out with plenty to see. Our driver, Luca was very pleasant and professional and was very knowledgable about Naples in general and the places we visited as part of our trip.

Luca was a superb guide; tiring tour but worth it. - Our guide/driver Luca had a great sense of humor, so it was fun to listen to his commentary on the sites we visited as well as Naples in general.
Regarding the tour itself—there was a LOT of walking and we were all very exhausted by the end. We were still full of energy while exploring Herculaneum (our first stop), but the hike up Mt. Vesuvius was quite draining. So when we got to Pompeii, we were tired from all the walking and the heat, and weren’t able to explore the entire area (which was more vast than I’d expected). By the way, our party of three consisted of a teen, a twenty-something year old, and a fifty-something year old.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Herculaneum was my favorite; the hike up Mt Vesuvius was worth it; and Pompeii was breathtaking. Just be warned that this tour entails a lot of walking and hiking. If you had the luxury of time, I would recommend allotting two days to visit the three sites (Herculaneum, Mt. Vesuvius, and Pompeii) instead of squeezing them all in one day. But since we only had one day to explore Naples as we were on a cruise, this tour was just right for our limited timeframe.

Vesuvius, Herculaneum, and Pompeii trip - Our driver, Luca was exceptional and very punctual. Felt very safe. When I booked trip on Viator I thought it was going to be more of a guided tour, but Luca just gave us a time for pick up and left us on our own, which I kind of preferred as we could explore on our own. The small group allowed us to interact.

See it all!! - We had a few days in Naples and wanted to make the most of our time there. This was the perfect excursion to hit a few of the major historical sites to see. Pompeii is massive and while you could easily spend the whole day there, we had the understanding that our intent was to squeeze in as much as possible. This tour allowed us to see it all…even if we couldn’t go up and down every path in Pompeii, we could see the size and scale of the city. Giovanni was a great guide and Enzo got us to and from all sites safely!! I definitely recommend this tour!

Comfort and personality - Luca was a funny, communicative, and informative guide. Also, I hadn't had my morning coffee yet, and we were ahead of schedule a bit, so he took us to a nice cafe so I could get my caffeine dose... SO grateful! And he wouldn't let us pay. Hehe... Mini van was super clean, very nice, and the A/C was strong.
