Highlights
  • Pompeii Archaeological Park - The order of the itinerary is flexible.
Pompeii is the first stop on the itinerary. You will visit the ruins, breathe the history, the art, the archeology of the most acclaimed open-air museum in the world. From the Temple of Apollo to the Baths, the Casa del Fauno, the Amphitheater … Pompeii is waiting to be discovered, an unforgettable experience just like its history.

Excavations dominate the center of modern Pompeii, and right there, a few steps from the past, we visit one of the oldest coral factories in the city, admiring the masterpieces of local artisans, according to ancient Greek-Roman traditions.

  • Sorrento - Beautiful, worldly and rich in colors, here’s how to define the city to which the entire Sorrento coast owes its name. Adorned everywhere by the bright lemon trees, mother ingredient of the famous Limoncello, Sorrento looks like a carousel that rotates around Piazza Tasso, the pivotal point from which the three main roads that lead to the treasures of the city branch off. The valley of the mills, the fourteenth-century cloister of San Francesco and the terrace of Sorrento are just some of the gems of what is the wonderful jewel of the coast.
  • Positano - Positano hits it hard. It is a dreamlike place that doesn’t seem real to you until you are there, but you feel all the deep reality when you have left it with nostalgia. So said the American writer John Steinbeck recalling the first town on the Amalfi coast, and he was right. Positano is a real charm and from its panoramic terrace, the view will leave you breathless.

Our ride with Mario - Today Mario from Di Sarno car service was our driver. We came in on a cruise ship and before our scheduled meet up he communicated with us & let us know exactly where he would be…even sent us his photo so we knew who to look for! Immediately we could see his exuberance & enthusiasm! And it continued throughout our trip. He was great & perfect for us! He knew exactly where to stop so we could capture the perfect pictures. Once in Sorrento he recommended a lovely lunch place…ristorante Tasso. As a bonus he played fabulous Italian music and we all joined in! Thank you Mario!

Great tour with a great tour guide - Francesco Lombardi, our tour guide was exceptional. We are 3 Canadian seniors and were treated royally by this fine guide. He drove us to a number of very interesting sites and went out of his way to provide us with interesting facts along the way. You won't go wrong with booking this trip.

Make sure you know you’ll need to buy tickets to pompeii when you get there and bring money for the sandwich place at our positano lookout spot - best sandwich ever!! and if you’re wondering you can leave stuff on the bus!

Best Day Trip to Naples - Our trip was amazingly and has created many wonderful memories that we will treasure. In no small part Francesco played his part in making this happen his knowledge about the area his professionalism and courtesy help feel safe and confident as we explored. He had a fantastic recommendation for a lunch place in Sorrento where we had great food and the best view of the harbor. We would recommend this trip to anyone looking to make the best of a day trip to Naples

Amazing tour! - The best European tour I've ever been on. Giuseppe was so knowledgeable, funny and personable. He worked to get us Pompeii tickets during our time on the tour since we forgot to book. We paid for tickets to Pompeii but what made it the best part was paying for our amazing Pompeii tour guide, Chiro. His charisma and passion and knowledge of Pompeii was incredible! He seemed to be very well known in Pompeii and we felt like we got the cream of the crop for a Pompeii tour guide. Touring Pompeii wouldn't have been nearly as worth it without Chiro!!

Don’t miss this tour! - The tour itself was excellent, however, our guide Mario absolutely made the tour for us. He has a big personality, and it was on display throughout the day. We loved all of his personal anecdotes, as well as his singing along to songs tied to the areas. The views on the drive are spectacular. We were awed by Positano. We had a very nice lunch and limoncello tasting in Sorrento, but we could have used a bit more time there for touring. The tour company arranged for a private guide for us in Pompeii, and we are sure that made all the difference in our enjoyment of the ruins. Carolina was a wealth of knowledge and set a pace that covered a good portion of the area without feeling like we were rushed. We highly recommend both this tour and these guides!

Interesting trip - We had a lovely, informative trip with Francesco. He started with interesting facts about Naples and recommended more places to visit. Told us tales of the history of the areas we visited and some in between. Very personable guy with a quick wit. Positano is beautiful. Sorrento was a fun place to shop and have lunch. Pompeii is huge - no way to see it all but we saw enough to be satisfied.

Napolitano Vero 😌 - Mario was a great guide! He represents a Napolitano people and it's wonderful to live this trip with a local guide who knows the local history, and who is representing it with a lot of passion. For me everything was good, maybe a bit more time in Sorrento would be nice 🙂 Good luck and hope to see you soon guys! Mama mia!

Not wheel chair accessible - When I booked this tour I was told that Pompeii would be accessible for my husband with his electric wheel chair. This was not the case. I had even contacted Viator to request a wheel chair accessible tour which I was told was available for an extra charge and we would use a separate entrance to The site. We were able to transverse the cobblestone sidewalk with some help with fellow passengers, and therefore saw quite a bit of the excavations. BUT this was our last stop of the day and there were passengers from another cruise line that needed to be back by 4 pm. Our ship didn’t leave until 7 pm. So, we were very rushed and only were able to stay for 1 hour instead of the promised 2 hours. This was very disappointing.
