First class - Spot on...if you want to go ,don't use anybody else...every thing went like clock work...clear instructions using WhatsApp...any concerns instant replies...I'm not the type of person to leave reviews tbh...but would recommend to everyone.

Vesuvio amazing, tour not as much - The time in the park was fantastic. Getting the bus there was a little confusing but it all worked out. It was five hours total, not four. We did not get a guide at the park - that would gave taken more time. Sone background abput the history on the bus would have helped.

A drive up to Vesuvius - This tour was transportation only for us, as the host/driver spoke Italian with the other guests most of the time during the drive (we don't speak Italian and thought it was going to be an English language tour). There were supposed to be guides at the top but we never saw them. Still, an amazing experience and would recommend it. The tour cost about the same as a taxi would have been which is basically the service we received.

Well organized but not entirely as agreed - You could specify a boarding location when booking. There was one 100 meters from my apartment today, so super handy. After I received a reminder 2 weeks in advance with a different boarding location, I immediately sent a message. I received a confirmation back with my preferred boarding location. 1 day in advance I received a WhatsApp message with the tickets and suddenly a different boarding location. Immediately sent a message back and the answer was that due to traffic they were no longer allowed to stand there as a boarding point. I can't imagine that this wasn't already known. The ride to Vesuvius was fine and the time you get is also more than enough.

Impressive experience - Driver was excellent. Directions to the pickup point we're good. I had a great deal of difficulty acquiring the ticket online. The automated help service was very helpful but the staff telephone service phone person was rude and hung up on me. Nevertheless I got my tickets and then enjoyed the experience.

The top of the mountain... - The top of the mountain was beautiful. Our driver was wonderful and he brought us up to the entrance gate , we saw many people walking up the road from lower area I’m glad we didn’t have to do that. It was a little cold and very windy, we forgot our coats but they sell sweatshirts by entrance. Overall great trip I think it’s a little pricey but we enjoyed the experience.

Road trip - When we actually got to Vesuvius it was a wonderful experience but the trip to get there was awful the pick up caffe had the same name as two others so we had a job to find it then the bus was half an hour late we started on our journey then we got dropped off with two others and had to wait for about 15 mins on the roadside for a smaller bus we got in that eventually then had to change buses again just up the road we finally got there it was fabulous to see but I didn’t realise there were no toilets any where so was a bit uncomfortable by the time the late bus finally took us home well worth a trip but needed more organisation we have used this company a few times before and always had a great time

Terrible tour service. - After taking a train from Rome to Naples for this tour only, we were picked up by the driver. After about 20 minutes in the van headed to the volcano, the tour service calls the driver to say that they did not have tickets for us. We tried to purchase tickets at the park entrance, but were unsuccessful. The tour service only gave us a half refund even though we did not get to complete the only item on the tour. Viator should drop this tour service. Our driver stated that mix-ups like this were not uncommon with this tour service.

An awful waste of our holiday and a part refund - A wasted day of our holiday, terrible service and only a part refund!
We booked a half day trip to Vesuvius that included access and a guided tour of the crater. We were picked up in Naples at 9AM with 2 other groups.
About 50 minutes into the journey someone called the driver and we were informed that they hadn't sorted out tickets onto the mountain.
The driver drove us up to the place where they release 10 ticket online per guided session to buy our own tickets and the 3 parties spent an hour trying to get them but they're unachievable. Such a stressful day.
I've chased 3 times now and I'm told they're not aware of the failed visit! Nobody will take ownership and I've had only had £86 returned for £183 day on top of the holiday we booked for this reason.
