The Official Art Deco Gift Shop - Founded in 1976, The Miami Design Preservation League has proudly offered guided walking tours of The Art Deco District for over 40 years. All Proceeds go towards supporting preservation.
Visitors are introduced to the history, architecture, and preservation efforts of Miami Beach. Tour ticket includes free admission to the Art Deco Museum and Gift Shop.
There are a limited amount of tickets available for each tour, so early bookings are encouraged .
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure for check-in.

An unforgettable Art Deco Journey with an Outstanding Guide - I had the pleasure of joining an Art Deco Walking Tour in Miami Beach, and it was an incredible experience! Our guide, Julie, was exceptionally knowledgeable about the history and architecture of Miami Beach. She shared fascinating facts and stories that truly brought the area's rich heritage to life. Great educative and fun tour, with Julie being an awesome tour guide - Had a great tour with Julie on Wednesday June 19th. Julie was very knowledgable and very passionate about Miami Beach and the architecture - which turns out to be more than only Art Deco but you need to take the tour to learn more about that! Next to architecture, the tour is also a great way to learn more of the history of Miami and some of the people that shaped the city!
Next to that Julie is super friendly, takes her time, answers all your questions. And I loved her adventurous story how she ended up in Miami - live your life!
Highly recommended!

So worth it - Julie was so passionate about and knowledgeable about South Beach history and architecture, and she imparted these qualities to me during the tour. I had really good time doing something I don’t typically do.

Interesting walking tour - Julie was my tour guide. She is fun and very knowledgeable about Miami and how it came to be the way it is today. It was interesting learning about the art deco buildings. I would recommend this tour.

Engaging and Accessible Art Deco tour with Missy - I recently took an Art Deco tour with the Miami Design Preservation League, guided by Missy. She was fantastic—engaging and approachable, making the tour enjoyable for everyone, not just architecture buffs. Missy’s passion and knowledge really shone through, and she explained things in an easy-to-understand way without oversimplifying.
I enjoyed it so much that I plan to go on more tours with different guides, as each one showcases different buildings and stories. If you’re in Miami, I highly recommend this tour and especially Missy as your guide.

Take the tour - just do it. - Franzi’s tour was so interesting. She is a gracious host! Absolutely worth the price of admission. I learned so much about historic South Beach.

Highlight of non-beach trip - I was a first-time visitor to Miami and this was a highlight for my weekend visit as a non-beachgoer. The tour guide was incredibly informative. I learned a lot of history about the area, and how that helped shape architecture and design, as well as about the different styles. Fascinating information on what to look for and learn from the designs. Also enjoyed hearing about preservation efforts. Thoroughly enjoable way to experience South Beach.
