The Official Art Deco Gift Shop - Founded in 1976, The Miami Design Preservation League has proudly offered guided walking tours of The Art Deco District for over 40 years. All Proceeds go towards supporting preservation.
Visitors are introduced to the history, architecture, and preservation efforts of Miami Beach. Tour ticket includes free admission to the Art Deco Museum and Gift Shop.
There are a limited amount of tickets available for each tour, so early bookings are encouraged .
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure for check-in.

Amazing experience! - Kudos to the Miami Design Preservation League! The Art Deco Walking Tour is a great way to explore the history of Miami Beach and the Art Deco Historic District. The tour was fun, interactive, and informative. Set in a tropical paradise, the beautiful buildings in the historic district are definitely worth visiting. This guided tour puts these iconic buildings in context, both in the and in the present. The tour guide’s love of the area was an added bonus that made the tour even better!

Inside the Art Deco Town - Very interesting and fun. A great guide, Paola, gave us great insight of art, architecture, history, food and celebrities walking 2 hours through this beatiful place. The museum visit, which is included, also was very interesting. 100% recommended!

Missy the guide brings the art deco history to life - Missy the guide tells interesting stories about art deco. You visit some hotels inside. She tells about life in Miami and the history.

Both educational and attractive - the best of both worlds! - This was a really interesting, informative tour. The guide, Missy, really knew her stuff, and she was thoughtful of the capabilities of the tour group at large - apparently people sensitive about the potential for a long, exhausting walk can call the museum and get advice on which day of the week would be best, which was a nice service to provide the public. The actual tour itself was georgeous, and really makes you appreciate all the work the MDPL has does to preserve the district when others would have torn it down. The tour comes with free admission to the museum, and I highly recommend coming a bit early to peruse it before the start time.

It's not a tour, it's an Art Deco Show! - This is, without a doubt, the most extraordinary walking tour I've ever experienced, and I've been on many. Damien is a living billboard for the Art Deco district—captivating in every sense: visually, sonically, and intellectually. He turns history into a live show, making its evolution perfectly clear and leaving no questions unanswered, even down to the construction materials, specific renovation methods, and the alligators. His public speaking energy and skill rival that of a theater performer. Damien undoubtedly deserves his own show!

Amazing Art Deco Experience! - Our tour was truly interesting and almost mind-blowing, in a way. Learning the history behind the buildings and Miami Beach in general was very enlightening. I would like to specifically recommend our tour guide, Missy, because she gave us an amazing experience, providing us with utmost certainty behind her knowledge regarding the architecture. Overall, I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone in the area with an eye for art deco!

Excellent walking tour. A must do in Miami Beach. - It was a wonderful walking tour that took us to see the different styles of buildings that make up the Art Deco style. It was extra special since we got to go into some of the buildings to see their features. Missy was a great tour guide - very knowledgeable and engaging.

Fabulous tour! would highly recommend - I had the most wonderful tour with Julie. We walked around learning about the history of Miami Beach and the architecture and interiors of the fabulous buildings Julie had so much information but what really came across was her love and passion for the area. Would highly recommend this tour.

Definitely worthwhile art deco walk - Missy was so informative and a great presenter. We loved learning about Miami’s rich art deco history. It was so worthwhile and has made us really appreciate our surroundings during our visit.
