Great trip - Overall the trip was amazing. Our guide maria christina was very helpful and her english was good. The driver Claudio took us safely to st moritz. The sceneries on both bus & train were outstanding and i def recommend this trip. Would have loved if it was possible during the train ride to explore some of the Swiss areas/stations & take pictures.

Excellent opportunity to visit Switzerland for a day - Alessandro was our tour guide and he was very good, as was our excellent bus driver Claudio. We stopped near Bellagio for a welcome coffee & breakfast, the route along lake Como was beautiful. St Moritz was scenic & enjoyable, but please bear in mind that on Sundays practically everything is closed, except for a couple of bar/ restaurants and one very expensive chocolate shop. Luckily the weather was sunny and we enjoyed walking around. The Bernina express journey was everything we hoped for, breathtaking views of the Alps & this iconic railway pass. Heads up - sit on the right hand side for a better view, but both sides were good. Alessandro was very informative, fun & entertaining! We were met by the bus at the end of the rail journey for the long drive home. We were glad we made the effort to go on this great adventure, thank you.

Great for picture taking - The day started off a bit wet since it was pouring outside; nobody’s fault obviously, but the weather does play a role in the experience. Try to check the weather if you have flexibility in the specific day you can take the tour (but I would NOT skip it for bad weather reasons alone). The tour company sent an email the night prior with instructions that included a Google pin to the first meeting point, but it took me to the wrong place and I eventually had to ask for help finding the actual meeting point. Not a huge deal and things happen, but give yourself extra time to find the location. Tour buses cannot hang around on busy streets in Milan so it’s reasonable that it might be parked off to the side / back somewhere. The bus ride is absolutely lovely: high-quality bus and great driver who also played awesome music for some parts of the trip. There always seems to be at least one person surprised by the fact that Switzerland does not accept euros; please do your research ahead of time on currencies. You can obviously use credit cards but it’s good to know that if you bring cash in euros, they will not return your change in euros. About 2 hours into the bus ride, we stopped at a cute café area that also had a bathroom. Once there you can buy snacks, as well as a variety of sandwiches and baked goods for the reminder of the trip. Plus coffee and water of course! The stop in St Moritz is fun - we got about 2 hours of free time. Note, if you are going off-season, the shops will be closed, except for one chocolate store and a few places to eat. It is quite charming to roam around the streets while they are empty. I decided to have lunch at La Scarpetta. Our tour guide recommended 2 other places, but I know from experience that tour guide suggestions are typically limited to pre-negotiated arrangements with the restaurant owners and/or locations that can accommodate larger groups. As a policy and solo traveler, I always look for my own spots. The restaurant is small so it cannot accommodate very large groups, but it is an exquisitely charming spot. The atmosphere is outstanding: Swiss vibes all the way and killer music (think We're Together by Jack Johnson and Downtown by Petula Clark). In the spirit of any place who wants to master its food, they do not have 1 million options on the menu. I got the Bruschetta (their house specialty) as an appetizer, and their Fresh Pasta (Meat) option of the day which came with a sage pesto sauce and crisp bacon. Pasta is meant to be warm and cozy and filling, and this delivered. Balanced by the delicate flavors of sage, extra-virgin olive oil, and freshly grated cheese. I rarely finish my meals and asked for the rest to go, which did not seem to bother them one bit. The service was excellent. A true gem if you’re traveling alone or with a small group! Finally, the train ride. It is really beautiful and worth the experience but please manage your expectations. The Bernina Line takes you through stunning views, but the experience could quickly get ruined if too many people around you are obsessively taking pictures at every stop on the train. Basically the way it works: there are great views on both sides (usually alternating) of the train. So people are constantly going back-and-forth and hovering over each other to take pictures. At least you can open the windows, which is nice, but if you’re looking for a peaceful experience or wanting to enjoy the scenery without disruption, I’m not sure this is the best option. I took a few pictures but would have been content to peacefully sit through the experience for most of it without pulling my phone out every five seconds. But others were there to take pictures and so there was nothing peaceful about it as they opened and closed the windows constantly and leaned against me to get their shots. It is truly designed almost entirely for picture taking so make sure that’s your thing. Our tour guide was lovely, knowledgeable, and a strong English speaker. I completely recommend this experience if you don’t mind spending most of your day sitting!

Very good trip - We enjoyed the trip. Was delayed getting to the train due to an accident that happened in the road up the mountain but we still made the train.

Very uncomfortable 3.5 hr cramped bus ride with no wifi and no fresh air - Yes Bernina train was nice, extraordinary experience, must go but I wouldn’t recommend this tour. Coach bus extremely uncomfortable, 3.5 hr ride back to Milan was excruciating. Seats were very small, no WiFi, driver did not turn on air con, stuffy and smelled of sweats. Spend a little more on a small group tour with better buses or go by train.
