Just perfect! - I went solo with no expectations, I found an excellent chef that not only teach us how to cook pasta and tiramisu, but he also took the time to explain about the Italian culinary heritage and try olive oil, balsamic and very good wines. Great experience!

The BEST cooking class!! - Rafael started off telling us about Italian cuisine and the importance of learning about the food we eat and especially where it comes from. I absolutely loved learning a new way to look at the ingredients we buy and gained a new appreciation for the hard work that goes into it. I would 100% take this cooking class again. Everyone in my group participated every step Rafael guided us through and we had such a great time and the food was amazing. I can’t wait to try the tips Rafael gave us in preparing my next pasta dish! I also really loved that Rafael spoke in English and Spanish throughout the class which allowed the conversations to flow with everyone.

Welcoming, knowledgeable, personable - Fantastic experience! - Rafael is an outstanding and incredibly welcoming host. He opens his loft to share his passion and knowledge of not only Italian cooking but for the history and culture as well. Rafael has a wonderful way of teaching and interacting that makes you feel comfortable right away. We learned, laughed, cooked and enjoyed as though we were at an old friend’s home. This was something I wanted to do on our trip and was so glad both my husband and mother (her father/family is from Ortona) joined me. It was fun and relaxing. Thank you Rafael! Our new friend!

Delicious pasta and great conversations - Amazing experience! Rafael was super welcoming and a great conversationalist. We started off with wine, bread, olive oil, and balsamic (all of which were delicious). Then, we made Tiramisu and pasta from scratch. It was a lot of fun to make the pasta starting from just flour and eggs. We then had a tomato and alfredo sauce for the pasta, both of which were super fresh, light, and delicious! Rafael is an amazing chef, and he was also very friendly. It was also great to just sit and talk about whatever came up. We loved the experience, and I recommend the class to anyone who wants to make and eat good food, and chat with a local!

True insider experience: Local professional chef shares opens up home to share his passion for Italian food. - The expert Chef, Rafael, hosted an amazing experience. We were welcomed into his home where we had a private cooking class that definitely exceeded expectations. It felt like spending time with an old friend who was passionate about the history, quality and authenticity of Italian food. We cracked open a bottle of wine as we got our hands dirty making some of the best Tiramasu my wife and I have ever had. While desert chilled, we continued the food prep by making our own noodles. It was a blast and they came out fantastic. The freshest pasta I've ever had. This 3 hour experience will be over before you know it, but it is worth every minute.

We can’t wait to get home and start cooking! - This was one of the most interesting traveling tours we've done. Here are the reasons: - Our chef Rafael is passionate about culinary arts and teaching them. This was supposed to be a 3 hour class, but it went on for much longer, because everyone enjoyed it so much and did not want to leave. We were not rushed at all. Rafael knows Italian food and showed us how to shop for the right ingredients, and shared many small tips that made big differences in the end product. Rafael also taught us the history of the dishes which made the class fun and educational. - There were only 6 of us so it felt like a private event. It was a cosy class where everyone got to participate in the different steps of cooking. - One can tell that our chef Rafael put a lot of thought into choosing the dishes (fresh made pasta/two different sauces/tiramitsu), the raw ingredients, and the different types of wine to pair with the food carefully so we had a tasteful and enjoyable dinner. Thank you Rafael!
