Highlights
  • Santa Maria delle Grazie - Our accredited tour guide will meet travelers at Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie,1 and will introduce them the beautiful Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie and its buildings: the church Santa Maria delle Grazie and the building where the Last Supper is located that in XV th century was the refectory of the Domenican Monastery.
  • Il Cenacolo - Leonardo’s masterpiece, the Last Supper, one of the world’s greatest painted masterpieces occupies the end wall of the previous refectory of the XVth century Domenican Monastery. Painted by Leonardo between 1495 and 1498 portrays the Apostoles seated together with Jesus when Jesus announced that one of them would betray him. The Disciples’ emotion transpiresfrom their gestures, mouvements and faces and contrasts with the apparent immobility of Christ who dominates the centre of a rigously symmetrical composition in perfect perspective. The painting was miraculously untouched by the August 1943 bombings which damaged the nearby cloister and part of the church.
  • Santa Maria delle Grazie - The Church Santa Maria delle Grazie is one of the most stunning masterpieces of Renaissance style in North Italy. Built in XVth century as the private church of the Sforza dukes.

Good - Pre booked this through GetYourGuide. Expensive but we had no option as the official website was sold out. They’re strict about IDs- must bring your passports- no copies allowed! You’d think you’re in border security. They don’t allow big bags. There is a locker for a medium sized bag. Room is dark , we got plenty of time to click pics. Our guide was knowledgeable. He answered questions patiently. If you are into your museums/ art then you’d not be disappointed. Be prepared to pay the price and don’t forget your ID. Needless to say it was the highlight of my Milan trip.

Last supper - Leonardo Da Vinci. A place you have to visit. - I have visited Milan many times. I had tried to visit the Da Vinci painting without success as due to work I could not find tickets at the last minute. This time I succeeded. The truth is that there is a very good organization with the groups of visitors. Unfortunately, each group only has 15 minutes to stay in the area and take pictures and listen to the story from the guide. Nevertheless, it is something every visitor should do as you will be rewarded with the feeling that such a famous work is still possible to see up close. It is indeed worth visiting.

Great Experience but a bit pricey. - Tour was great. Our tour guide met us on time and was very pleasant and informative. Was a bit pricey for a 1hr tour but we weren’t able to get tickets otherwise.

Last Supper is a masterpiece. Guide/Tour needs improvement - Purchased a tour of Last Supper viewing. The "english speaking" tour guide was very difficult to understand. She tried explaining about the painting technique and talked about the painting, but the headphone system she used (with us having headsets) was not nearly as good as other systems I've used. Combine that with her broken english, and I learned a lot more from a few searches online. Considering that the tickets are only 15 euro, the premium for the tour portion of the viewing was obscene. Enjoyed viewing the painting though and appreciate the opportunity to view a true masterpiece.

Not great - I booked a slot at 0830. I then received an email the day before telling me it had moved to 1115 which was ok as I could move my day. I was then sent another email on the morning of my visit telling me that the guide was not available at 1115 due to a family emergency and no replacement was available which was very disappointing as it was a celebration holiday with my wife.

Buyer beware…unreliable and last minute cancellations!! - Tour was canceled as we were leaving for Milan. Had these tickets for months. The option to rebook was for a tour days later and we wouldn’t even be there. Their scheduling system is awful…BUYER BEWARE…

How to take something magnificent and make it boring - This was my number one priority to see on my trip and it was such a big disappointment. Our tour was with Get Your Guide and we waited in the courtyard trying to find our guide who we were told would hold up a sign. She NEVER did, but our driver spotted her holding something red and connected us. She was unfriendly, unwelcoming and unenthusiastic and we later discovered (at the Da Vinci museum where they have all DaVinci’s notebooks) that she even gave us incorrect information.
