Highlights
  • Castello Sforzesco - The Castello Sforzesco is one of Milan’s most iconic and historic sites, and represents, along with the Duomo, one of the most majestic and distinctive monuments of a place rich in culture and tradition. Located in the heart of the city, the castle has played a crucial role in Milan’s history and has seen several phases of construction, destruction, and renovation over the centuries.
  • Santa Maria delle Grazie - Gothic-Renaissance in style, Santa Maria delle Grazie is a key landmark in Milanese architecture, particularly associated with the name of Leonardo da Vinci.

In the refectory of the church, where the friars gathered to eat their meals, is preserved one of the absolute masterpieces of art history: the Last Supper, by Leonardo Da Vinci. To see this amazing masterpiece you need to book week in advance!

  • Basilica di Sant’Ambrogio - A visit to the church dedicated to this revered saint is not to be missed: the Basilica of St. Ambrose, recognized as one of the most relevant in the world and an archetypal example of the Romanesque style.
  • Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore - The church of San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore is often considered the “Sistine Chapel of Milan” because of its architectural structure and the exceptional quality of the decorative cycle, influenced by the Leonardo school.
  • Duomo di Milano - The Duomo is the timeless symbol of Milan: It’s hard not to be moved by such beauty Started in 1386 by Gian Galeazzo Visconti, it was built over five centuries, undergoing numerous modifications and modernizations over time. Get ready to discover a lot about this masterpiece!
  • Chiesa di San Bernardino alle Ossa - One of the strangest churches I have ever seen but, if you are not too impressionable, it is worth it! 5 minutes walk far from the Duomo it’s something that a lot of tourist miss!
  • Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II - It represents the pedestrian passage connecting Piazza del Duomo with Piazza della Scala and is the oldest active shopping gallery in Italy.
  • Piazza della Scala - A beautiful square that is located in the historic center of Milan and is connected to the Piazza del Duomo via the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Built to add a square to the famous La Scala theater, from which it takes its name, thus making it more functional and welcoming.
