Sensational Day with spectacular views, great guide who was very informative and well organised. - The spectacular views from the Red Train coming down from St Moritz. The bus drive up from Milan was picturesque and our driver did a fantastic job of navigating through the windy roads to St Moritz.

Top experience! - It has been one of the best tours I've ever taken, the views are amazing, totally worth it. The bus came on time, it was easy to locate the meeting point and the instructions were simple. Our tour guide Maurizio was the best. I came with my family and we all loved it.

Scenery great--guide and misrepresentation of St. Moritz agenda disappointing. - The trip is amazing. We had a cloudy, rainy, day, but it was still remarkable. The only downside was our guide, Anna, was not very good. We took 20+ trips with Viator last year on a 77 day trip in Europe and every guide was excellent. Anna gave us very little information on the trip. She didn't tell us about where people worked, what industry or other jobs, vocations were in the areas...it was a 3 hour bus ride each way. During the train ride through the Alps, two women put their window down completely...while it was raining and 37 degrees. Despite several passengers asking them, and Anna, to please close the window, they did not. Anna, in fact, left the car for over an hour. She should have ensured the two women closed the window for everyone's comfort. On the 3 hour ride home to Milan, she told us as we were leaving Tirano that the area was well-known for apples and potatoes. She literally NEVER SAID ANOTHER WORD until we got back to the outskirts of Milan and informed us that we would be running late because traffic was so bad. I was greatly disappointed in her effort the entire day. She did the bare minimum. As we approached St. Moritz, she informed us that the town was completely shut down...so we would not have our advertised 2 hours for lunch and to visit the city. She said it was "low season" and the village would be shut down for most of May. There is no way that Viator did not know this, they provide the same tour every day--upon complaint, she told us to contact the company and a partial refund might be given. We had 20 minutes in St. Moritz, just enough time to visit the restroom and grab a snack in the market. Many of us did not eat at the breakfast stop, waiting for lunch in St. Moritz. This was a terrible misleading. Overall, the trip was fantastic--as far as the views itself. The guide and misleading agenda were disappointing.

Mixed Feelings - We met on the agreed pickup point near Stazione on time. 07.45am exact departure. Try not to forget your passport. It seems the border authority hardly check tourbuses and in that event even take a photo of your passport or ID as OK but better be safe than sorry. No drinks or food allowed on the bus! The first area of improvement: the bus. It is older style and cramped. I am 6ft2 and no way I can sit comfortably. For a trip lasting 6 hours in the bus this shuld be better. Next the bus has no restroom. See later more. 0930 first stop. 30 minutes stop for Toilet and Coffee. It was busy so unfortunately if you are the last from bus and other busses also arrive there is not enough time. Try to sit at the left side of the bus to have the most beautiful views of Lake Como. The way to Saint Moritz is highlighted by a zig zag ride over the Maloja Pass. Some may get nauseated if easy car sick. Sit at the front if you can in that case. Saint Moritz in May is sleepy. On recommendation of the guide we go to Restaurant Hauser. The food was good. Try their hamburger. A stiff 27.50 euro one with fries but very tasty. Expect for 2 to run up a bill of 60-80 euro easily. Then we started our much anticipated train tour. Here is the next area of improvement. Again, we were cramped in what I would call "old style" coach. Regular windows and cramped space. I could hardly fit my legs with the guy sitting opposite of me. Next if your sitting isle side your views will be less impressive as sitting right at the window. I noticed newer carriages with more comfortable seating, also 2nd class. Even I notice on another track also panoramic 2nd class coaches. Clearly marked Bernina Express. The train itself stopped at every station. When boarding to be first on the train and select a left window seat in the direction of the where the train is going. Anyways now the good part: the ride of the train. Beautiful surroudings and specatcular views. We were in May so see a mix of white snow and melted area's, which is best I think. At the end of the train ride it ends in Tirano, where the bus awaits the group for a 3 hour return drive. And no restroom stop which is crazy really. So, you have to go for your final pee-stop before leaving the train. That's hard for especially older people or people with a health issue. I hardly made it to my hotel on arrival. Which was only a few minutes walk. So, in conclusion, the whole fascilitation of the trip was on the cheap. But the train ride itself makes up for a lot. A 12-hour trip mind you. Recommend to search for operators offering a true panoramic ride and more luxurous bus with on-baord toilet.

A long long way for day trip - The scenery was breathtaking .however the coach trip getting to see this scenery was very long and the coach was very cramped, the seat in front of me couldn't be put in the upright position so I had someone's head in my space for 4 hours, giving me little room to move, the your guide couldn't be heard down the back, not quite the day we expected

The Bernina train views... - The Bernina train views were spectacular. The second class seats are very uncomfortable unless perhaps you were traveling with another couple.

We were given the wrong pick-up location and missed the tour. Buyer beware. - I along with about 10 other customers were given the wrong pick-up information. Visitor blames the tour company and vice-versa. Bottom line is that the bus for the red train left from another pick-up location and we were without a tour. I am trying to get a refund now, but I went by the tour company and they refused. I am now working with Victor. If I am not successful, I will dispute the charge on my card. Buyer beware.
