Highlights
  • Basilica di Sant’Ambrogio - Sant’Ambrogio is the Patron Saint of Milan. His Basilica is one of the oldest churches still in use. It is rich in history and interesting stories, which we will discover on this tour. As we learn about the fundamental symbols in this church, we will continue to see them throughout our tour of Milan.

  • Santa Maria delle Grazie - Leonardo Da Vinci’s famous “The Last Supper” is painted on the wall of the monastry of The Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. The Church is an outstanding work of architecture and Renaissance art and thus became a UNESCO World Heritage Listed Site in 1980. This is our second church designed by Bramante, whose many architectural creations we will see on this tour. WE WILL SEE THIS CHURCH FROM OUTSIDE.

ENTRANCE TO THE “LAST SUPPER” PAINTING IS NOT INCLUDED (YOU NEED TO BOOK A SEPARATE TICKET, THAT IS €15 ( ON OFFICIAL WEBSITE CENACOLO VINCIANO VIVATICKET) and they sell out quickly!)

  • Castello Sforzesco - The Sforzesco Castle was the family castle and fortress of the influential Sforza Family. Today the moats and drawbridges that surround it are the home of its true rulers: the cats. The family was also the cultural and fashion leaders of their day. Thanks to them, Leonardo, Bramante and many other architects were invited to Milan to beautify the city public and private buildings.

Entrance to the different museums in the Castle is not included. We will visit its courtyards and gardens.

  • Piazza Mercanti - The old economic heart of the city
  • Duomo di Milano - The magnificent imposing Duomo Cathedral is the landmark of Milan. Its beauty, day and night, is a source of joy for all. It took more than 500 years to build it therefore is has many stories, anecdotes and myths to tell.
  • Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II - Piazza La Scala is linked to Piazza Duomo by the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. This highly artistic, luxurious shopping arcade was created in the 19th century to celebrate the Unity of Italy, the symbols of which we see throughout the Gallery.
  • Teatro Alla Scala - The World famous La Scala Opera House has long premiered great music aka Verdi, Pavarotti, Maria Callas, Puccini.. Its opening nights are magical and an occasion to see Italy’s top people dressed in their finest. Not to miss!
  • Brera District - Optional - Brera district is a Bohemian neighborhood with charming narrow streets and hidden alleys. It is still home to artists, with Milan’s main Art Academy. Now it is an artsy area where creativity thrives in many different forms, not only art but also food.

The best walking tour I ever went on! - When we booked our holiday at Lake Como, my boyfriend and I decided to spend a day in Milan. Luckily we found Chiara's walking tour and booked it right away for our trip. She is a wonderful, fun and very knowledgeable person to be around. A week before our visit she sent us an e-mail letting us know that there were tickets available for DaVinci's Last Supper, wo we actually got to go right beforehand thanks to her!! At the end of the tour she sent an e-mail to those who wanted with all of her favourite places in Milan - sights, restaurants, cafés, etc. The tour itself was super fun and we learned so so much about Milan and the Milanese - I would HIGHLY recommend booking Chiara's tour!! If we go to Milan again, we will for sure book the tour again.

One of the best walking tour we have done - Chiara was friendly, knowledgable, passionate and most importantly, fun! We ended up having to cancel our first booking with Chiara after our flight was cancelled, but it was so worth it doing the tour with her on the day of our departure.

Just F.un-I.nspiration-N.ews-E.xcitement - Fantastic access to get familiar with this beautiful and exciting city. My wife and me enjoyed the tour a lot. And it had been much more than only information. Chiara invited us, no, she took our hands to watch the city and its complex history with her analytical, humorous and connective perspective. Every minute we felt not only her love for her city but also her personal interest for everybody in our group of thirty now best informed and entertained freshly inflamed milano lovers. Afterwards Chiara sent us an overwhelming list of places to discover. Far too many for one visit, but a good motivation to revisit this fascinating city of snakes, charsimatic leaders, historical somersaults, risotto, calcio & design.
