Highlights
  • Haulover Canal Kayak Launch - Don’t miss out on Bioluminescent Kayaking at Haulover Canal in Titusville. Kayaking through bioluminescent water is truly a magical sight to behold, and it’s an experience that you’ll remember all your life.

Bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon. Our cooler water bioluminescent experience is the Bioluminescent Comb-Jellyfish. These jellyfish light up blue when they are disturbed, creating a surreal and magical effect in the water. In the summer, dinoflagellates are present, which are single-celled, planktonic organisms. They naturally produce light so when the water is disturbed in which they are in a bright blue-green light glows. When you kayak through the sparkling water, you’ll feel like you are in another world.

Florida-Adventurer’s Bioluminescence Kayaking Tour is locally owned and operated. We know the best spots in Merritt Island Nature Reserve. Our certified tour guides are knowledgeable about the area and they will share interesting facts about the bioluminescence and other wildlife we’re sure you’ll meet along the way.

Please be sure to make your reservations early as this Florida kayak tour tends to book out 2 weeks in advance.

Wonderful experience! - We REALLY enjoyed our bioluminescence kayak tour with Brian! He is so personable and very knowledgeable, and made our experience a great one! We specifically chose this company because they do not do large groups. As it turned out, there was only one other couple scheduled for our time slot, but they didn't show - so we had a "private" tour with Brian and it was fantastic! We highly recommend Florida Adventurer, and hope to do this again!

DO IT!! Once in a lifetime experience! - DO IT!!! While visiting Orlando, my daughter found this and we knew we HAD check this out! Even after a full day at Universal, we drove an hour and a half to get there for our 10pm tour. Our tour was exceptional! Truly a once in a lifetime experience. It was almost like seeing magic right before our eyes. We saw 2 dolphins too! The manitees were asleep, but we were having too much fun to care. Our tour guides were awesome and made our trip even better. They informed us of so many cool pieces of knowledge during the trip. One of which is that a portion of what we pay for our tickets goes toward restoring the eroding coastline of Florida! We're from Louisiana, so we know all about the eroding coastline and how important it is to save it. Major props to this company for doing their part to help. I encourage anyone to book one of these tours!

Fantastic Experience - bring good bug spray! - This was a fantastic experience! Our guides were great, very knowledgable and friendly! The kayaking was not too difficult so most people shouldn't have any trouble with it. There are port-a-potties available in the parking area. TIP - the mosquitos are rough, bring a strong repellent!

Moon was a little to... - Moon was a little to bright to see the bioluminescence like we hoped, however, it made for an absolutely stunning night on the water. Our guide, Clint was awesome.

Manage your expectations - This might be the group tour for you if you want just a peaceful night of kayaking. Unfortunately, we were hoping for a little more interaction and information from our guides. The main guide was fine, but if you weren’t right next to him, you couldn’t hear anything. The other two guides were completely silent and none of them made the tour what I would describe as “fun”. Even when we showed up to check in, the younger guide was on his phone the whole time and never even once said hi or welcome or anything. It also didn’t help that we had a kid crying almost the whole time and the guides didn’t really try to do much to calm her. We had to ride double kayaks (I didn’t see that in the reviews) and one of our party had to ride with a complete stranger. Once kayaking, we did eventually see a little bioluminescence, but it was nothing like shown in the pictures. Overall, I was hoping for a more fun experience.
