Additional Information

The tour begins at Shimbashi Station, known as the site of Japan’s first railroad running in 1872. First, your local tour guide will take you to a casual bar run by Nara Prefecture, which is known as the “birthplace of sake”. Here, enjoy a 30-minute all-you-can-drink sake tasting! The selection of more than 20 different types of sake, which changes daily, is truly varied, ranging from authentic sake made with “Bodai-moto,” the yeast that originated in Shorakuji, the birthplace of clear sake, to dry, sweet, slightly sparkling, cloudy, and fruit sake. On the second stop of the tour, your guide will take you to a teppanyaki restaurant in Ginza. You will be greeted by a skilled griller in front of a heated Teppan. Serving only the highest quality A5-ranked Wagyu beef, the restaurant not only offers a wide variety of Wagyu beef, but also seasonal soups, seasonal Wagyu beef dish, garlic rice, miso soup, and special condiments and sauces as part of the course menu.

Get to know Ginza like a local! - Great in depth knowledge of Ginza. Food and drinks delicious. Guide tailors to the situation very easily. Could be worth starting earlier to tailor to all Ginza small local stores rather than after they close to make the most of the time. Could be worth incorporating more of Shinbashi into this one too!

Great food + great guide - The food was amazing and Suzy had perfect suggestions. She is very helpful to talk with for my first time in Japan! It was very fun solo but with friends I’m sure the sake tasting would have been even more fun. I highly recommend this tour

Wagyu think? I think it's sake-ing amazing!! - Heyyy so had the pleasure of going to this sake tasting/wagyu pairing combo with the amazing tour guide Suzy. Luckily for me I went solo during the trip so had ample all-you can drink 30 mins time to sample the 4 different flavour profiles ranging from refreshing crisp to a smooth sweet finish. And talk with the Wagyu chef. Bring your appetite cause the A5 wagyu all you can eat set in a classy teppanyaki restaurant sourced directly from the cut of the day. Juicy marbled beef with 3 different sauces & condiments paired to have a different flavour each time. no better way to sober up from the sake haha Really appreciated Suzy's knowledgable insight to sake brewing & places in the Ginza district. very kind & open minded to guest's stories as well as where to visit in Tokyo based on their interests. finished off the tour at another bar with matcha & sakura flavoured cocktail options. Gr8 tour would recommend I r8 8/8 bring a m8 & celebr8 together 🥂🍺🥩
