Additional Information

This excursion combines two key factors that guarantee a memorable tour around Malaga: the indigenous knowledge of local ‘malagueñas’ and the professional insight of certified tour guides.

We don’t aim to overwhelm you with copious historical data, or treat you as a mere tourist. Our aim is to facilitate an authentic immersion into the city, enabling you to experience it like a true ‘malagueño’.

This engaging activity lasts for 2.5 hours, commencing from Plaza de la Merced, one of the city’s renowned squares.

From there, we venture into the historic district, uncovering both famous and hidden gems of the city centre. Along the way, we’ll discuss history, intriguing facts, and local traditions… What places do the natives frequent, what are our cultural practices, where do we go and what do we consume?

To round off the tour, we will explore the Central Market to sample local delicacies and wrap up with a toast of deliciously sweet wine.

Great start of your journey - This tour provides perfect balance between insight about culture, local customs and visiting interesting places. All packed into reasonable time duration so we had still time to enjoy rest of day. Now I got list of places to take my friends out. It is a great introduction and good start for going or more deep exploration of Malaga and Andalusia, but start from this tour as it also helps to get early orientation. Wine tasting in this old wine bar in Malaga is fantastic experience not just because of wine which is obvious :) but feeling atmosphere and soul of that place. So worth to go and you also will get super supportive team who keep contact afterwards as well.

Fun, Food, and Fantastic Guide - We had an amazing experience on the “Go Local for a Day” tour in Malaga! Our tour guide, Isabel, was fantastic—personable, friendly, and very informative. She showed us parts of the city we never would have seen on our own and shared fascinating insights about Malaga's history and culture. We loved sampling some of the local food and appreciated Isabel’s excellent recommendations for other things to see and do and places to eat while in Malaga. The small group size and Isabel’s friendly nature made it feel like we were exploring the city with friends rather than being on a typical walking tour. Highly recommend this tour and Isabel as a guide!

A must, simply superb - Isabelle is an amazing guide. The tour was informative, funny, and very enjoyable. It is only 2 1/2 hour long, but Isabelle stayed to answer any questions anyone had, from what restaurants to go to (her recommendation was superb) to what to do during Semana Santa!

Great tour - The tour is interesting but what made it great was the guide, Isabel. I liked it so much that I would do it again. It was one of the best experiences I had in Malaga.

An experience beyond expectations! - Just the right amount of personal! Isabel is fantastically responsive and sees every participant. The tour or rather the experience was a perfect way to start the holiday. She told us both about the region and the cultural-historical old town. We got lots of tips on places to visit another day on our own.

Great City. Great Guide! - Isabel is a great guide through the old town of Málaga. Not only does she provide colorful information about the culture and history, but she takes time to learn about the people in her group. I loved that we had just eight people on the tour and Isa encouraged us to ask questions, compare notes, and contribute our experiences along the way. Highly recommended if you want to see the beautiful city of Málaga in a personal and engaging way.

A Tour to start your Málaga trip - Very knowledgeable tour guide, covers many of the main sites in Málaga. We were lucky to have one of the few rainy days of the year in Málaga but Isa kept the energy of the group up with her sense of humour and friendly demeanor, worth taking at the beginning of your stay, as she'll give some recommendations for places to visit in your own time as well as plenty of food options. Will look forward to visiting Málaga and Spain again
