Highlights
- Mombasa Tusks - We’ll take a picture with the Elephant Tusks in Mombasa. They are on Moi Avenue, and they were commissioned to commemorate a visit of Queen Elizabeth in 1952.
- Mombasa - We’ll stop at the Spice Market.
It’s the oldest market in Mombasa. It was built in 1914 by the British Colony. We get tourists from all around the world who visit the market.
In it you’ll find all kinds of Spices - what will you try? Will it be cardamom, pepper, turmeric… or some new curry powders?
- Old Town - Our Walking Tour will wind through Old Town Mombasa, including the Fish Market, the Old Port, and the Hindu Temple, as well as stopping for handicrafts at Akamba Handicraft.
- Fort Jesus Museum - You’ll get an extensive guided tour through Fort Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll visit the Fort Jesus Museum, walk through the fort while learning about the Portuguese, Oman Arabs, and British influences.

Spectacular History of Mombasa - Humphrey is a knowledgeable, great and caring tour guide. We had an amazing time with him. We have learnt so much about the history of Mombasa.

Discovering Mombasa!! - Humphrey is hands down an amazing tour guide. He demonstrated immense knowledge of the history of Fort Jesus and the old town. The best part was that he's a great photographer. I highly recommend him.

Phenomenal walking tour! - What an awesome experience! Humphrey Ndungu is an amazing guide! He was thoroughly knowledgeable about Fort Jesus and Old Town Mombasa. We were a group of six history lovers, including two teachers, (one being a History Teacher) and we learned so much from him. He was patient dealing with all of our personalities as we battered him with a ton of questions. He led us through Old Town and was very protective of our whole group especially walking through the Spice Market. He brought us to the BEST local shop for gifts and I was shocked at how economical it was compared to the many other shops we had already purchased from. He took us on our first Tuk Tuk ride and we all had a blast! Finally, he arranged for our driver, (who was still waiting at Fort Jesus) to pick us up by the Spice Market so we wouldn’t have to walk all the way back to in the hot sun.
Thank you Humphrey for one of the best experiences on our 12 day tour of Kenya! I highly recommend him and his tour for anyone going to Mombasa!

Great experience with Humphrey! - Humphrey is very professional, not only about the history and culture of Mombasa (especially of For Jesus & the Old Town), but also take good care of your personal safety and the overall experience. The whole trip is pleasant & flexible, I had plenty of time so he took me to the Spice Market & a Hindu temple.

Thank you HAMPREY - It was really nice and fun having Humphrey as our tour guide. Such a good and great guy patient and kind. He explained every thing and he really had information about the history of that place. I do recommend him as tour guide because he did a great job. BTW, he was a good photographer for us both thank you HAMPREY.

Amazing Walking Tour - Humphrey provided an amazing tour. He has a deep knowledge of Mombasa history, and we learned a lot. He was very attentive to us and all the details and pacient with our small kid.
I will use for sure his services again and will recommend him.to any one coming to Mombasa.

Wonderful Historical Tour - This tour was great! Our guide was very knowledgeable, and I learned a ton about Mombasa history as we walked through Fort Jesus. Old Town was a great experience, and the Spice Market was so cool! So many fresh spices, fruits, vegetables, candy, etc!
