Embark on a fascinating day trip and explore the scenic cities of Tuscany region: Pisa and Lucca. Assemble at Piazzale Italia to meet your knowledgeable tour leader and immerse yourself in the captivating architecture of Pisa at the Piazza dei Miracoli. Observe the famous Leaning Tower and unravel the heritage of this location with insights from a local expert guide. Enjoy some leisure time in both cities to wander the city center streets. You will also have the option to explore the Cathedral in Pisa with your guide, and visit the Baptistry’s facade. In the afternoon, visit Lucca, a hidden treasure of Tuscany. Take part in a guided stroll through the city center and marvel at the impressive Piazza dell’Anfiteatro and the Cathedral. Finally, taste a piece of ‘Buccellato,’ a traditional cake of Lucca before we head back to Montecatini.
- Please note that the Cathedral of Pisa is now free and, on extremely crowded days, it will not be possible to visit its interior due to a long queue. In such cases, we will offer a tour of Piazza Cavalieri instead

Great experience - I’m a young black woman (just for context) who did a solo trip and booked this tour, it was amazing! The tour guides were really fun and we had enough time to hear the tour and also wonder around in our own time! Would 100% recommendation!

Great experience. - Our tour guide was very helpful and did a great job keeping track of all of us. The tour guides at each stop were very educated in the regions and enjoyed answering any questions we had. They showed us some beautiful sites. I loved it.

amazing day trip - the main guide was lovely spoke very good english bus driver also lovely guy. and the english speaking other guide he was so lovely and chatty. both guides gave good recommendations and answered all questions we had really got us all involved

Pisa/Lucca day trip - Gabrielle the tour leader was brilliant.
Pisa tour excellent
Lucca tour disappointing ,rushed ,talked at , and I ended up with a headache an hour of facts and figures was not engaging.

Great try but overall not a great deal! - Pisa and the leaning tower was remarkable. The local guide Sara was very very good. The tour guide was ok also. However, The tour bus was late, the walk to the leaning tower from the coach park was very far and you had to remain standing for well over an hour. Hard for older people to do that. The value for what you received was not there. You could take a train from Florence for a few Euros and spend a couple of Euros for a book on the leaning tower and learned just as much. For these reasons I cannot recommend this tour.

Seating arrangements - We were the last pick up on the tour, at Montecantini. We were a party of 2 couples and one of the couples had to sit apart (a husband and wife) as there were only single seats left. Part of the experience is to share and discuss the views as you travel to and from your destination. We feel a policy should be in place to allow couples to sit together, i.e. single travellers should sit together.

Better Communication Needed - This tour was too fast paced. Our guide, Roberta, walked way too fast and kept losing the group in the crowds. She did not stop periodically to make sure we were all together. She also did not tell us where to meet up if we got separated. We enjoyed the Pisa tour and our Pisa guide. We did not enjoy our Lucca guide or tour. Our Lucca group expressed a desire for a slower pace and water break, which was ignored. I've taken many Viator tours over the years and I'm sorry to say this was one of my least favorites.

nightmare in italy - the tour was an hour late. We were literally standing in the rain waiting for it. No one called. we had to keep calling. we were totally abandoned by the tour guide in Lucca. My husband was having health problems and the driver kicked him off the bus to stand in the pouring rain. i request a full refund. please respond.
