Night life guide , Santa Elana ; Monteverde - Esteban was an amazing guide , very ,very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does . His English is excellent and he gave just the right amount of information about the wildlife that we saw, and his spotting is incredible ! Such a nice man and well respected locally . I would definitely recommend that if you want a night life guide you use him .

Best night tour in Costa Rica - My brother and I have done a couple night tours while in Costa Rica, and this one is by far the best. Like it's not even close. Esteban is not only incredibly knowledgeable about the forest and its wildlife, he is an enthusiastic and fun guide. His English is excellent as well. We saw some really incredible and unexpected creatures with him thanks to his insane spotting skills. If you're going to do one night tour, choose this one!

Wow! What a night! - We had a great experience with Esteban. He was knowledgable, friendly and spoke excellent English. We ended up capturing some awesome pictures and videos of sloths, snakes, birds, ants and even a porcupine. I highly recommend going with Esteban since his groups tend to be smaller than the ones you are in proximity with.

Amazing Private Tour Experience! - We visited a few months ago in July and I can’t stop raving about our tours with Esteban. We booked both a private night tour at the Monteverde wildlife refuge as well as a private nature tour at the Curi Cancha reserve. Esteban was prompt to pick us up both times and so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. It goes without saying that he pointed out wildlife we definitely wouldn’t see otherwise, but in addition to that, he answered all of our questions (I love learning about nature and Esteban was happy to talk all about it!) and made our tours so much fun. The photos Esteban took with my camera through his scope were next level and made it so fun to show family and friends what we were up to in Monteverde. He was nice enough to give us some local dining and bar recommendations when we were looking for a place to watch the Costa Rica/Jamaica Gold Cup game too. It was a great experience from start to finish. I would NOT hesitate to book Esteban again if he’s available. It’s also evident in the small Monteverde community that Esteban is well respected. We saw this in the interactions with all the other guides we crossed paths with during both outings. Absolutely book a private tour with Esteban if you can!
