The first FIFA World Cup in 1930 was held at this stadium. - Parque Batlle - This park houses the Centenario Stadium, the Luis Méndez Piana Park Stadium, the Palermo Park Stadium, the Darwin Piñeyrúa Athletics Track, and the Municipal Velodrome.
