  • Avenida 18 de Julio - Avenida 18 de Julio is Montevideo’s main thoroughfare, home to some of the city’s most important and historic buildings.
  • Estadio Centenario - This is the largest stadium in Uruguay and one of the 15 largest in the Americas. On July 18, 1983, FIFA declared it a Historical Monument of World Soccer, the only structure of its kind globally.
    The first FIFA World Cup in 1930 was held at this stadium.
  • Parque Batlle - This park houses the Centenario Stadium, the Luis Méndez Piana Park Stadium, the Palermo Park Stadium, the Darwin Piñeyrúa Athletics Track, and the Municipal Velodrome.

The park is perfect for walking, hiking, exercising, and enjoying the fresh air from its wooded areas. Near the Centenario Stadium is the La Carreta monument, created by sculptor José Belloni.
