Highlights
  • Morgan Lewis Sugar Mill - Located in the parish of St. Andrew, this windmill is the largest and only intact wind-driven sugar mill in the Caribbean. Built in the 18th century, it stands as a testament to the island’s rich sugar production history. The windmill, now maintained by the Barbados National Trust, offers visitors a glimpse into the past with its well-preserved machinery and informative exhibits.

After exploring the windmill, enjoy a delightful lunch at Mosaic at the Mill. This charming restaurant offers a variety of delicious dishes, blending local flavours with international cuisine. Whether you choose a fresh seafood dish, a hearty salad, or a traditional Bajan meal, you’re sure to find something to satisfy your taste buds. The restaurant’s relaxed atmosphere and scenic views make it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a meal.

  • Cherry Tree Hill - Cherry Tree Hill is a must-see stop on your Barbados tour, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the island’s east and northern landscapes. Situated in the parish of St. Andrew, this scenic lookout stands approximately 850 feet above sea level. The hill was originally lined with cherry trees, which have since been replaced by majestic mahogany trees.

As you ascend Cherry Tree Hill, you’ll be greeted by a picturesque drive flanked by these towering mahogany trees. At the top, the view opens up to the lush Scotland District, a region known for its rolling hills and verdant valleys. This spot is perfect for capturing stunning photographs, enjoying a peaceful moment, or simply taking in the natural beauty of Barbados.

  • Cattlewash - Located in the parish of St. Joseph, this beach offers a long expanse of sand, fringed by windswept sea grape foliage and rugged cliffs. The name “Cattlewash” harks back to its historical use, where farmers would bring their cattle to the beach to be washed by the crashing waves.

While swimming in the open water is not recommended due to strong currents, the beach features natural rock pools that are safe for bathing. It’s an ideal location for a relaxing beach walk, sunbathing, or a quiet picnic under the Casuarina trees. The scenic drive to Cattlewash itself is a treat, showcasing the dramatic landscapes of Barbados’ east coast.

  • Foursquare Rum Distillery - If you love rum and history, you will love the Foursquare Rum Factory and Heritage Park! This amazing place is located on a former sugar plantation in the southern countryside of Barbados. You can tour the modern and computerized rum factory and learn how they make some of the best rums in the world, such as Doorly’s, Old Brigand and E.S.A.Field. You can also sample their delicious rums at the Copper Still bar for a small fee. Don’t forget to visit the Heritage Park, where you can admire the historic buildings, colonial architecture and folk museum. You can also enjoy the beautiful gardens, art, and craft shops, and food and drink stalls. Foursquare Rum Factory and Heritage Park is a must-see attraction for anyone who wants to experience the culture and spirit of Barbados!

Outstanding Experience by Stouteland! - We booked a Rum Experience at Foursquare Distillery through Jamar at Stouteland Tours and could not have been happier with the experience! The distillery tour was awesome and very informative. Foursquare had a rich and lengthy history on the island and they’ve done an amazing job preserving their history. We were able to sample several different rums and we also included the cocktail option, which taught us to make several local favorites. We also used Jamar and other drivers from Stouteland for other excursions throughout the island. Jamar was especially accommodating as our hotel did not have an ATM so Jamar made stops at local banks, the post office, and a stop to pick up snow cones! (They were delicious!) Overall we could not be happier with the level of service and would definitely recommend them to everyone!

Amazing private tour with Jamar !!! - Our trip to Barbados was wonderful, however, our private tour with Jamar was exceptional. Jamar picked us up in a very comfortable air conditioned SUV and we started off with a tour & rum tasting at the Mount Gay Distillery. Then off for a full day tour of the entire island. We stopped at many beautiful areas with spectacular views and wonderful narrations from Jamar. We also had a delicious lunch together too. Our Private tour and day was 5 star across-the-board. Jamar was the perfect tour guide, educated, super nice and we highly recommend If you want to experience a great tour of Barbados.

Great time! Great Experience! Book with Stouteland Tours. - We didn't want to book through the resort for a tour, but we definitely wanted to do a rum tour and see the beautiful island. We scheduled for this tour and then a weird fluke happened and the distillery's where closed. Jamar gave us options and we ended up doing an amazing island tour. Jamar is awesome at what he does. We visited some amazing locations, saw great views, and ate great food. Best of all, Jamar was a great driver (i have anxiety with others driving me), he was very knowledgeable and friendly. Oh and we did get to sample tons of rum and purchased some great Reserve bottles. Definitely book with Stouteland Tours!!

Trust Stoutland for your excursions - Great service … loved the two Rum Distillers we visited (The Abbie, and Mount Gay) terrific guides in those distilleries. We used Stouteland Tours for an airport pickup and the Rum tasting tours, the only thing I missed was that yhe entry fees for the distillery tours was not included in the tour price. Overall A+ grade.

Rum and Authentic Fun with Jamar - We had such a fun day with Jamar in Barbados! We knew we wanted to visit Mount Gay but we also love local, off the beaten path experiences. Jamar was able to totally deliver on this on the fly and take us to some amazing spots (including a delicious authentic lunch at The Caboose). I’d highly recommend Jamar for any of my clients coming to the area!

Excellent! - We were on a cruise and decided at the last minute on ship to try and find a guide in Barbados to take us around for the day. After contacting several guides, Jamar was the only one who responded promptly and was easy to communicate and coordinate with. Jamar met us at the cruise port entrance in his clean and comfortable vehicle (with great air conditioning!), and took us to every spot we requested that day, including St. Nicholas Abbey, and several we didn't even know about! He made excellent recommendations for lunch and photos, and we finished our day feeling like we really got to see and experience a taste of Barbados during our short time on the island. Would absolutely recommend Jamar and Stoutland to anyone!

Beautiful island tour with rum tour finish - I took this tour on a Friday. Jamar was there early ready for pickup at the appointment time. It was well planned route and got to see a lot of the island as well as touring four square distillery with tasting. The route we took to tour the island visited North Coast, East Coast, South Coast and a drive along highway 1 back to West Coast where I was staying. The four square tour was amazing lots of detail and history about the distillery and the impact it had on the island.
