Once we’re at the trails it’s time to get fitted out with a provided Mountain Bike or Electronic Mountain Bike, Helmet, Gloves and Protection.
A short coaching session by Skills Coach Ben Forbes to make sure the rider/group can ride confidently and safely to have a fun tour.
A guided adventure of the suitable Gap Creek, Brisbane trails chosen by the guide instructor.
A tailor made day to suit your skill, fitness and age.
A debrief to help you continue to improve and enjoy your mountain biking.
Personalised photo’s will be taken through out the tour and sent to your email FREE OF CHARGE!
Drop off back to accommodation if a Shuttle Service has been purchased.
Each COACHING SESSION includes the same as above except for the provided bike and the session much more focused on maximising your skills.

Additional Information
Pedestrian travel is fine, but through mountain biking, you and your companions can explore more terrain, enhance your opportunities of observing wildlife, engage in physical exercise, capture spectacular Instagram photos, and acquire some mountain bike techniques with the help of mountain bike skills trainer, Enduro World Series participant and Mt-Cootha resident, Ben Forbes.

Brilliant morning out! - My first MTB ride in 10 years! Thanks to the Forbes MTB crew for making sure I had the best time on my guided ride. I told the team the goal for the day was to get back on a MTB, have an enjoyable time, so nothing too scary. The bike hire came with a helmet and gloves and the E-bike I had was amazing. The Forbes MTB crew made sure I was comfortable on the bike (with a little refresh on cornering, up hill, down hill body position) before we hit the trails. The assistance from the E-bike on the up hills is a game changer. The trails were all great, all at my skill level so I left there ready to book my next ride.

Awesome e-bikes and amazing coach - The e-bikes provided were a dream to work with - going through rough terrain like it's nothing. On top of that, Ben was an amazing coach providing all his support and not being stingy when it comes to sharing his knowledge and experience on the trails. p.s. it was the four of us on our first double date.

Great for all experience levels - Ben was extremely friendly and professional throughout the tour! We started with some basic skills, then rode along a trail in segments to get the hang of things before learning more skills and putting them into practice.
Ben clearly has alot of experience and his communication and interpersonal skills are great. I highly recommend his tours for people of all skill levels!

Electric mountain biking the Brisbane Rail Trail - The rail trail trip was an excellent experience. The bikes were delivered on time and the MBT staff member gave a very useful introduction to using electric bikes. We had a lot of fun with the bikes, and they got us through the steep gullies with ease. We averaged 21k/h over the trail without pushing it. I would recommend Fobes MBT for anyone hiring electric or regular mountain bikes for the Brisbane Rail Trail.

Father's day ride with my daughter - My daughter was visiting from Perth so we decided to spend the afternoon doing a 50km gravel ride to Esk for coffee for father’s day. I am road and gravel rider so we hired an ebike for my daughter from Forbes MTB. It was easy to collect the bike from Ben’s (Forbes) Brisbane workshop and he adjusted everything to suit. The ebike was great. It was our first time to use one and she could set the power so she could pedal as hard or easy as she wished and we could still ride together and chat. A great afternoon on the Brisbane Rail Trail!!

Best way to explore Mt Coot-tha and surrounding areas - My brother and I rented eMTBs from Ben and spent an amazing day exploring the trails around Mt Coot-tha.
Ben was friendly and helpful, adjusting the bikes to our statures and providing tips. The bikes were great and easy to use and still had plenty of juice after our 43 km ride and 1200 m of elevation. I cannot imagine completing the same journey on a normal push bike.
You don't need to have any MTB experience, just be confident pedaling a bike.
I would definitely do this again and I've been recommending it to all my friends.

A great first time experience. - Although I have been riding road bikes for sometime, I had no experience in riding a mountain bike. Ben was very understanding. I told him what I wanted to do and he provided me with a mountain bike that suited my needs. The bike's set up was spot on, the gearing changed smoothy and the brakes worked equally well. Ben is very personable and if he can he will help you to have a great experience. Would highly recommend Ben Forbes MTB.

Felt E-bike rental - We rented a Felt E-bike from Ben! The bike was kept in great condition, with all parts running in tip top condition for the entirety of our ride :)
He also included instructions on how to turn on the bike, operate the controls, and charge it; which we felt was an awesome attention to detail as I don’t usually ride E-bikes!
Thanks again Ben, we will be back for more soon enough! Couldn’t recommend Ben’s rental service any more, 10/10
