- 851A Chattooga Ridge Rd - Section 4 of the Chattooga River is the Southeast’s iconic whitewater rafting experience. Rapids include Seven-Foot Falls, Raven’s Chute, and the famous Five Falls - five class IV-V rapids that occur in just 1/3 of a mile.
After a brief trip safety talk and video, you’ll get geared up and load onto our bus to shuttle to the river put in. Once at the river, your experienced guide will walk you through instructions and what to expect. Then it’s down the river you go- paddling through Section 4’s technical and fun rapids and enjoying the raw beauty of this Wild and Scenic Chattooga River. In addition to the amazing whitewater, you’ll stop for a riverside lunch at the majestic Long Creek Falls, followed by navigating the famous Five Falls.

In your Section 4 Chattooga Rafting journey, you’ll navigate the river that Southern Living acknowledged as The One Endeavor Every Southerner Should Undertake. You’ll also explore the same waterway where the film Deliverance was shot, where NOC’s co-founder, Payson Kennedy acted as a stunt double.
Being a Wild and Scenic River, under the protection of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act of 1974, you’ll be part of the most wild rafting escapade in the southeast.

Absolutely awesome ! What a memory ! - Where to start… from the check in staff to the trip leader Paul to the bus driver it was perfect !! Our personal guide Mickey Timpone was 100% on point . He explained each rapid and gave clear direction to assist us in a safe exciting trip .
All of the guides were absolutely awesome . They were engaged in everyone and worked together to provide a wonderful memory !
I would recommend NOC always ! Their attention to detail was beyond words . It was obvious that the training that goes into running the Chattooga is quite extensive and every guide was exactly where they needed to be at the right time .
Everyone had a positive exciting attitude. Quite impressive teamwork . Well done all!!

Awesome white water rafting - Going over the class 5 rapids. Our river guides were top notch and professional. Our safety and having a fun trip was their prime concern . The lunch at the end was an awesome surprise. 👌

Absolutely beautiful exciting experience - It was fantastic and beautiful!
Some of us we reluctant to go, but sooo glad we did and will bring other visitors back again.
Sam was a great guide, smart, strong and sweet, part of an awesome team that made us feel safe the whole way!

Best Trip Ever! - Loved our guide, Victor, who was steady, and fun at every turn of the river. And boy, did the river turn! This was not Disney, as Vic explained to us, but that was part of the thrill. The Chattooga was challenging, but a blast. We loved every inch of our adventure!

Great time! - It was with my wife and her family. We did the full day trip with lunch. All 6 of us had an excellent time! The guides were very good at giving directions, friendly, and easy to talk to. It was the first time for 4 out of 6 of us and they felt more than comfortable to take on the Chatooga River.

Amazing - It was an amazing experience for me and my daughter. Guides were great, lunch break much better that I could imagine for being in the middle of the trip. We had so much fun, it was definitely worth the 2h drive from Atlanta.

Great river rafting experience - Beautiful scenery and fun fast rapids on the river. Knowledgeable guides that are safety conscious. 2nd time floating with NOC outfitters. Would recommend.
