Fantastic information and experience! - This was an incredible tour with Freddy and our driver Carlos. It was an early start but completely worth it because we were some of the first people at Chichén Itzá when it opened at 8am. This was so valuable both because it got very hot very quickly but because by the time we left it was getting very busy. Freddy gave us so much useful background information about the importance of the Mayan calendar before arriving at Chichén Itzá and then was able to show us how it works when we got there. He gave us plenty of time to take photos and also took photos of us in front of the monument. The cenote was the perfect way to cool off after Chichén Itzá and Izamal was a lovely way to finish the day. We had one of the most memorable days of our trip and we couldn’t recommend the tour more highly. Freddy was fantastic and we would definitely go again!

Great experience - Kuman was an excellent tour guide and we had a great experience. I didn’t realize when I booked the trip that entrance to sites wasn’t included. So be sure you read the details closely.

Great Mayan experience - It was a great experience. We started early and we're almost alone in the Chicken Itza, and avoided the heat if the day. And in Cenote we were alone and enjoyed beautiful water all by ourselves. Great guide Freddy was more than willing to answer all the questions I had. Overall great experience. I sincerely recommend it.

I really really recommend... - I really really recommend this tour if you want to go to Chichen Itza. It just does not make sense to go there without someone who explains everything and knows everything. We went with Freddy, a nice local guide who picked us up in Merida and drove the four of us to Chichester Itza. In the drive he explained us about the Mayan calendar. He talked for about an hour but it seemed he talked for 10 minutes. The way he explains things is very captivating and keeps you interested. Once we got there he explained everything else and left us alone to wonder for about another hour. We then went to the cenote and Izamal. They added a bit more “fun” to the whole day, especially the cenote. However, I cannot stress enough that you need a guide to go to Chichen Itza, and I think Freddy is one of the best options out there!

Excellent excursion, worth the early calltime - This was one of the best tours we’ve ever done. Freddy our guide and Carlos our driver were prompt, attentive, and took great care of the group. The van was comfy and drove safely. The best part is the amount of info we were given, and that we were the first in all the locations — avoiding crowds and we even had the cenote to ourselves!

A well-informed, well-designed, considerate tour. Great timing! - Sammy gave a wonderful tour of Chichen Itza, a cenote, and Izamal. I appreciated his knowledge of archeology and clear commitment to staying up to date. He tactfully separated invented stories from what archeologists do and don't know. He used helpful analogies and pictures and he took lots of questions, so I learned more than I would have by just reading signs on my own. He was also an exceptionally considerate guide. He took his cues from us for talk in the car and time at different spots, offered rest stops at good intervals, and always had the car cool when it was time to get in. The timing of this tour makes the early departure well worth it. We entered Chichen Itza when it opened and had our tour before it was crowded with visitors and vendors. I liked having a one hour tour, then an hour on my own there. It didn't feel rushed and for me it was the right balance of guided and self-paced. Timing was perfect for the cenote visit, too. We were the only visitors at the cenote for a little while, and the dining space was uncrowded and unrushed. I found it interesting to see and learn about smaller villages we drove though on the way to Izamal. Sammy kept us on pace without rushing us, and he gave us choices as we went along to tailor the tour to the interests of the group. When our interests differed a little, he tactfully and affably adjusted for us all. The small group format was great, too, because it helped make this possible. Guias de Yucatan was responsive and helpful from the moment when I booked online and they sent a message to confirm.

Highly recommend! - The driver (Gabriel) and the guide (Freddy) were amazing. Although it was an early start, it was worth it. We were able to get to Chichen Itza without being crowded by others and we also avoided the hottest time of the day. Definitely worth it.

Absolutely incredible - This tour was outstanding. Honestly I’d say it was the best tour I’ve ever been on. Our tour guide was friendly and insightful, and seeing Chichen Itza before the crowds is well worth getting up early for. The cenote visit was a one-of-a-kind experience, and Izamal is gorgeous. The price of this tour is also extremely reasonable. I cannot recommend it enough.
