Mumbai in the rain essential - This was a memorable experience. I have been living in Mumbai but never knew its origin and growth. Mr. Ram Warrier our guide very meticulously and enthusiastically showed us important monuments beging from Asiatic Society to Cathedral, Readymoney mansion, Fort srea, the Esplanade, the High court , Rajabai tower, three grounds and then to the ancient Banganga tank. We were amazed to know its history. And finally to the Khotachi Wadi the old wooden houses there are still so beautiful. Truly each manument has something to tell. Very good experience.

Discovery of Bombay - A major portion of my working life spanning 30 years has been spent walking past the High Court Building, Mumbai University, and the Oval Maidan, mostly ignoring these beautiful landmarks while hurrying to catch the ubiquitous Mumbai local. However, the tour with Ram Warrier around South Mumbai transformed my prspective, unveiling a Mumbai rich in history, culture, heritage, spirituality, and much more. The streets we walked on were once traversed by a completely different set of people a century ago. The vivid mental images, accentuated by actual photos of those times were brought alive by Ram's energetic and passionate recounting of the tales from past, giving glimpses of some of the historic personalities that strode the very streets that we stood on. His narrative allowed us to envisionthe spiritual essence of the city particularly at Banganga. One could also feel the viibrations of a once thriving forest housing tigers and jackals which is now the concrete jungle of Malabar Hill. These and many other nuggets of information of this magnificient city was so beautifully woven out and laid out that the entire walk was an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Ram Warrier. An amazing experience at ‘ Mumbai in rain’ tour - We spent an amazing evening with Ram Warrier and Khaki tours in their conducted ‘Mumbai in the rains’ tour, where every minute was spent in discovering unknown facts of the city that we live in. With detailed fluent inputs along with pics of old Bombay, Ram in his inimitable style took us many years back, when Bombay was still a quaint , sleepy place. His passionate narration of facts and stories made Mumbai come alive as it changed hands from the locals, Sultanate, Portuguese and finally the English. He in fact created a ‘drisyam’ of the Bombay of yore metamorphosing in to ‘amchi Mumbai’ of today. The icing on the cake was the visit to Banganga and Khotachiwadi- places, where time seems to have stopped during all these years. I appreciate and thank Mr Ram Warrier for his in research on the subject, in depth knowledge and for hosting us.

Experience a " HATKE" city tour of downtown Mumbai. - The monsoon experience of Khaki tour 2024 was a "hatke" experience. It was definitely different experience from the normal bus tour one takes. That every spot, every building, evey street and every area has a history behind it is brought out in detail by Khaki tour. O myself even tough being a city resident was unaware of the unique history of our city. Our tour manager Mr Ram Warrier is a treasure trove of information. His passion, dedication and patience is a virtue which every tour manager must be aspiring for. His detailed and indepth knowledge on every aspect of the area, monument, church, temple, parsi fire temple etc was mesmerising and phenomenal. Essential Mumbai Tour - I was born and brought in Mumbai and had visited all the sites of this tour, yet I was ignorant of the history behind these historical buildings, forts and the gates. Visit to the Banganga Tank was like as if time stood still. So serene & peaceful. Girgaon, Kotachiwadi heritage village is a visual delight. This tour with Ram Warrier as our tour guide made it more enjoyable & successful.

Wonderful and informative - It was a wonderful tour conducted by Ram Warrier. We were a group of 10 and we thoroughly enjoyed every bit with the interesting historical facts of the colonial locations such as Asiatic library, Horniman circle precinct, St Thomas Cathedral, Fort, gateway of and from India, Colaba and the precolonial locations namely, the wonderful Banganga precinct, and Khotachi wadi precinct. Ram was very eloquent in his descriptions and made the walk very informative and enjoyable with his pleasant and witty demeanour. The snacks were very tasty and the AC bus ride was very comfortable which made the whole package a very pleasurable and informative experience. We will definitely be interested in attending many more Khaki walks in future.
