  • Dhobi Ghat - This 150-year-old site is one of the world’s oldest and largest open-air laundries, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. Here, you can observe the entire laundry process, from washing and drying to the daily lives of the workers and the logistics of laundry collection and delivery.
  • Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus - Formerly known as Victoria Terminus, this is India’s oldest railway station, built in 1888, and one of the busiest. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The suburban trains are Mumbai’s lifeline, offering a glimpse into the daily commute and lifestyle of Mumbaikars.
  • Ballard Estate - Once the office district during British rule, this area features buildings over 100 years old. Walking through, you might feel as if you’re in a European country.
  • Flora Fountain - Built by the British in 1869, this fountain is considered the heart of the city. Dedicated to the Greek Goddess Flora, it is surrounded by Gothic architecture.
  • St. Thomas Cathedral Mumbai - Constructed in 1718, this cathedral was once Mumbai’s Zero Point, from which distances to 16 locations were measured. Saint Mother Teresa also attended a service here.
  • Town Hall (Asiatic Society Library) - Built in 1804, this functioning library resembles Greek architecture and is a popular hangout spot for young people.
  • Gateway of India - Completed in 1924 to commemorate the 1911 visit of King George V and Queen Mary, this site is also where Mahatma Gandhi arrived in 1915 to lead India’s independence movement, and where the last British troops left India on February 28, 1948. It is one of Mumbai’s most visited attractions.
  • The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel - Opened in 1903, this hotel was the first in India to feature electric lighting, fans, and an elevator. It served as a hospital during World War II and is renowned for its stunning architecture. Many celebrities have enjoyed its hospitality.
  • Rajabai Clock Tower - Built in 1878 with a Westminster chime, this tower was once the tallest structure in the area and is surrounded by beautiful scenery.
  • Oval Maidan - A UNESCO World Heritage site, this playground is surrounded by art deco buildings and is a popular spot for cricket enthusiasts, especially on Sundays.
  • High Court Principal Bench Bombay - Established in 1862, this building is known for its beautiful Gothic architecture.
  • Cuffe Parade - Here, you can visit the Machimar colony, a slum where fishermen live. You’ll learn how to make Masala Tea in a fisherman’s home and enjoy views of the sea and the colorful fishing boats. You might even see the day’s catch.
  • Nariman Point - Offering a clear view of Mumbai’s skyline and Marine Drive, also known as the ‘Queen’s Necklace,’ this area was developed post-independence to create an office district. We’ll also drive along Marine Drive.
  • Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum - This was Mahatma Gandhi’s residence from 1917 to 1934, where he made key decisions like Satyagraha and Civil Disobedience. The museum is rich in history about India’s freedom struggle and features a beautiful diorama of Gandhi’s life and the sacrifices made for independence.
  • Jain Temple - Mumbai - The Babu Amichand Pannalal Jain Temple, built 130 years ago from marble, is a stunning example of Indian architecture. Here, you can witness devotees performing their religious rituals.
  • Hanging Gardens - Established by the British in 1880, this green space offers a beautiful respite in Mumbai and features an observatory for viewing the city’s skyline. It is a sanctuary for people, birds, and animals in this concrete jungle.
