Great Tour - This was a great tour with Keith, our guide. He was very well educated and took the time to answer everyone in our group’s questions. My son is a bit of a history buff and was at Keith’s hip most of the tour picking his brain and we could tell Keith enjoyed fielding all his questions. I would highly recommend this tour and if you’re lucky, you’ll get Keith!

James, A Class Act! - James is an excellent guide and has extensive knowledge to share with those in his group. We appreciated his timely responses to our questions that we had prior to our tour. James not only described the physical properties at Dachau but offered a thorough explanation of the events that led to how the concentration camps came about. James limits his group sizes to a reasonably small number that allows him to have personal interaction with each of his guests who choses to actively participate in his tours. James displays a deep compassion for those who suffered and those who died at Dachau as well as their surviving extended family members. We could see that got he got frustrated a few times as some younger guests in larger tour groups were acting out in a loud manner and who were distracting to other guests. Those individuals obviously had no concept of what they were experiencing.

Tour of Dachau - The tour was impeccably handled. We received an email the night before given clear meeting indications. Our guide, James, was very knowledgeable and provided in-depth information. He is a fantastic tour-guide. This tour is highly recommended for any individual wanting to learn more about the holocaust and the terrors inflicted by the Nazis. Walking into Dachau was very eerie. The visit was heartbreaking but worthwhile.

A very memorable tour.... - A very memorable tour. James was a wonderful and knowledgeable host. For such painful subject matter, he made the tour enjoyable and fun as possible, but done in an incredibly respectful manner. And he knew his way around the crowds as well. Highly recommend.

If you don't like to be rushed, pick another tour. - I wish I would have known that I could drive to Dachau, buy my own tickets and tour at my own pace. I really wanted to learn about the history of Dachau, but the group was required to stop where the tour guide decided to stop and listen to 10-15 stories, chosen by him. There was no time to visit the many exhibitions on site. Furthermore, our Australian guide told us that he hated being around people and made angry comments about my husband and I joining and rejoining the group at the last minute. We were there on time all the time. It's just that everyone else showed up early because of the pressure put upon us by the guide. I would say to do the trip on your own.
