A pearl near Munich - Nice trip, pretty castle, well organized trip. Go for it, You won’t regret! Also, do not forget to taste fried fish, just caught in the lake!

Super, relaxed tour - This tour is well put together. We departed from the Radius Tour offices and took the train to the nearby town. We then took another (this time tourist steam) train to the boat to reach the island on which the palace is located. We had enough time to explore the palace grounds and the island on our own, as well as getting to tour the palace with an official guide (which is the only way you can tour the interior of the palace). We took the boat again to another nearby island, where our guide gave us recommendations for lunch. It is a late lunch, so you'll want to bring snacks with you or eat on the train or at the palace before the tour (the palace has a cafe). There was a delay on the return train back to Munich, but that wasn't the tour operator's fault. All in all, a great, relaxing tour.

Michelle was great, beautiful tour! - Loved this tour, Michelle was very friendly, very knowledgeable, I learned so much from her compared to other guides. The lake and palace was beautiful, not too rushed, time for a relaxing lunch lakeside. Highly recommend Michelle as a wonderful tour guide!

Herrenchiemse, Ludvig’s Versailles - For me Herrenchiemse is the Palace to visit in the area before Neuschwanstein and Linderhof! The tour is well organised and we had a fabulous guide, Michelle, who has so much knowledge about King Ludwig. We had plenty of time at Herrenchiemse and then also had a visit to Fraueninsel. Yes, you could do this tour on your own without a guide, but you won’t learn about or remember this special place as much. Thank you.

Recommended tour! - This tour was definitely worth the visit! Our guide Stephanie was excellent and made sure we were where we needed to be on time. She helped us navigate the transportation and also gave us lots of good historical information about the palace and King Ludwig. For anyone who has visited Versailles or is interested in palaces, I recommend visiting this palace!

A must see when in Germany - We hit the jackpot with this tour !!! Michele was the perfect host!!! Very knowledgeable about all points of interest and attentive to every person on the tour . Made sure we saw all we came to see and gave lots of extras along the way . It was a perfect day and glad we did not miss this!!

Lovely day trip - We enjoyed meeting people on our tour from around the world as well as from home! The small train and boat ride to the islands made this a unique experience. We really enjoyed visiting the Women’s Island as well as Herrenchiemsee Palace. It was a lovely day, and the scenery was beautiful! Our guide, Stephanie was very personable and made everyone feel welcome.

Long Day to See Palace - The short tour of the palace was not worth the long trip on regional rail, steam locomotive and boat. Unlike every other tour of historic buildings we were not allowed to take pictures. Did they want to sell more postcards and books? Guide did a nice job managing a difficult 10 hour trip. See nearby (to Munich) sights instead.
