Neuschwanstein Castle stands above Hohenschwangau near Füssen in the southeastern Bavarian Allgäu, and according to Wikipedia; the building was built in 1869 for the Bavarian King Ludwig II as an idealized idea of a knight’s castle from the Middle Ages. The king only lived in the Castle for a few months. He died before the facility was completed.
