Hour;- The Lockhart tea factory is famous for its Orthodox Tea produced in the traditional way. The museum includes a living factory which was built in 1936 and a tea sales outlet and tea-tasting sections. The visitors are given a briefing about the origins of tea for consumption, its history & health benefits and explained about the traditional tea manufacturing processes.

Very enjoyable and educational - My husband and I throughly enjoyed this 3 hour tour. Our tour guide Mari was very knowledgeable and we learnt so much more than just about the tea at Lockhart tea factory as Mari shared so much about the history and the ecosystem of the area from wildlife that lives there to other crops that grow there. We got to see the tea pickers working very hard to the whole factory process. And we got to try and buy some tea for ourselves! You can even have a professional photo amongst the tea if you’d like! There’s also roadside beverages and snacks.

Lockhart Tea Plantation - What an amazing morning we had walking through the tea plantation. For two hours we were immersed in facts and information about the tea plants, types of teas, and the fauna and flora we passed by. We had a stop and sampled some delicious tea and a Munnar snack before our drive to the tea factory. Mr Mari, our guide was exceptional.
The tea factory tour was informative too. We met Mr Ravi, who guided us through the factory.

A great tea experience - A truly enjoyable tour through the tea fields and then the factory. Our guide Mari was full of information and helped us really understand the whole process from end to end. The booking experience with Munnar Info was easy and the team kept in constant contact. I would have no hesitation recommending them.

A wonderful tour of the tea plantation - Mari our guide gave us so much information about tea growing. We would never have learnt so much if we hadn’t booked the tour. Mari was entertaining and very knowledgeable. Not only did the tour include the tea plantation but also a tour of the factory and tea tasting with Mr Ravi. We had a fabulous day.
Next time I will book a longer tea plantation walk to get further into the estate

Highly recommend it - The tour was amazing and our guide Mari was the best guide we have had in India! He is very knowledgeable, kind and explained to us all about tea plantations in a detail, without rushing and with a big smile on his face. We had plenty of time to walk around the tea plantation, interact with tea pluckers and had an excursion in the tea factory as well. I highly recommend this tour and especially the guide Mari, who, by the way, takes excellent photos. Thank you dear Mari!

Nice experience, learned a lot, scenic views! - Had a great experience with that tour! Guide Mari is super motivated, pleasant and explains a lot. Thanks to him, we learned a lot about tea and the plantations. Also a very scenic walk through beautiful tea plantations/nature. Tour through the factory could be a bit longer (different guide). Due to the noisy environment and a larger group of people we weren’t able to understand everything.
