Highlights
  • Mysore Palace - The Govt licensed guide will meet you at the entrance of Varaha South entrance Gate of Mysore Palace. Vehicle parking is available only at this gate while tickets are also sold only here. The Mysore palace is the most extravagant and luxurious palace in South India. It is called the “Versailles” of India. It was built in 1912 in Indo-Saracenic style with the Chief Architect being Henry Irwin, an Englishman. The grandeur of Mysore Palace is such that it is embellished with - tiles from England, marble from Italy, Chandeliers from Czeckoslovakia, cast iron pillars & stained glasses from Scotland, teak wood from Burma, jaguar bronze statues from England, etc. The Mysore palace stands in the middle of a sprawling 45 acres of land which houses many temples as well. It is divided into two halves - one (better) half managed by the State Govt while the other belongs to the royal Wodeyar family. The fame of Mysore palace is such that it attracts more visitors annually than the Taj Mahal!

A beautiful walk in a great company - The guide Dinesh demonstrated an ample amount of knowledge about the places we have visited and also beyond that! It was a great pleasure to spend time in his company. No need to say anything about the beauty of the Mysuru palace - pictures speak for themselves and say a crore of words. Highly recommended!

Truly worthwhile experience - Ramakrishna was a fantastic guide. I learned so much about the history of Mysore palace, it's importance, and lots of stories and details about everything inside the palace too. Everyone was also linked to the Hindhu religion which made the tour even more fascinating. You must do this!

Highly recommend!! - A highly recommended tour! Firstly, we made a booking for a wrong date by mistake but tour operators were very accommodating in changing the date without additional charges. Secondly, they were punctual and knowledgeable about history of Mysore. They were also funny and able to answer all of our questions. Lastly, the tour is very well structured and interesting . A great way to get toknow Mysore in a day. We really appreciated the art gallery tour in particular as it didn't seem to be very well known even amongst locals so the crowds were considerably low and the works of art absolutely astounding. Suffice it to so, we really enjoyed our trip to Mysore and all thanks to the wonderful tour guides.

Excellent knowledgeable guidr - Dinesh our guide was really pleasant and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the tour. It would be difficult to navigate all we saw without a guide so it saves a lot of time. He shared so much India history and mythology also. It was perfectly length and content. I think by Indian standards it's expensive.
