Highlights
  • Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park - Est Arrival Time: Between 9.00 am to 9.30 am\nThe Sigatoka Sand Dunes is Fiji’s only coastal dune system covering an area of 650 hectares and comprises a series of parabolic sand dunes of various ages and activities. This would be the starting point of this Sigatoka National Heritage Park and Natadola Beach tour. Travelers could take a 1 or 2 hour trek through the dunes and the open sea beach area. But The heritage park attendant would advise you of the starting point, lookout signs ending point. It is advisable to take picture of the map on your phone. It is also advisable to have breakfast before you begin this tour.\n\nYou would need water, proper shoes, sunscreen, hat, phone with data and an energised body and mindset.\n\nPS Travel through trek would take you to climbing up and down the sandy mountains. You should know your body/health capacity and limit to avoid unforeseen circumstances.Tour might get cancelled or postponed due to rainy weather.\n\n- Natadola Beach - Est Arrival Time: 12pm\nNatadola Beach is probably one of the best beaches on the mainland for people to come swim, have picnic or just relax with the sound of the waves. \n\nAlong the beach are locals in cabana’s offering hair braid or massage for fees. For small fee, you could even ride on horse back with trained horseman by your side.\n\nWe would provide to you a returnable Sarong to sit on. You would need to get towel, changing clothes, snacks, sunscreen and energy to swim or just quietly enjoy the sunset.\n\nPS The beach does not have public toilets or water facilities so just to be mindful of that. Carry on with your mosquito repellants if in case mosquitoes get attracted to you easily. *Tour might get cancelled or postponed due to rainy weather.

Additional Information

You would now no longer have to worry about reaching Sand Dunes at hefty costs. We have planned such that both the activities could be carried out within half a day and most importantly, in 1 trip!! Our goal is to offer to you the best of Fiji at an affordable rate while making decent profit of it as well.

I was surprised very few tour companies make a trip to the Sand Dunes complaining of the long waiting time and lesser margin but now you need not to worry as this 1 tour would let you discover both.

Sand Dunes is very much suitable for adults and children but requires long walks and few steep climbs.
If you’re fit enough, you must try the walk along the dunes at least once in life (be it foreigner or local).

Be mindful the tour may be cancelled or postponed due to unfavorable or rainy weather or the trip may become longer or shorter.

Informative tour and gorgeous viewpoints - Rayshek was the most informative and helpful tour guide in taking me around the Sigatoka area. He had a lot of local history and anecdotes to share about Fiji and daily life there. Would highly recommend him as your tour guide for Nadi and along the Coral Coast.

A must do when in Fiji! - Please be advised that this trip is more a private one (private tour operator) rather than a trip in a big group. This actually enables to tailor the trip to your own pace and preferences. Sand Dunes are only 1h drive from Nadi, and it’s totally worth to go there as the place is very unique and it’s the only National Park in Fiji. 1 hour drive passes very quickly given that the guide can provide you with lots of details about the Fijian life, economy, traditions, etc. He was a very good source of information. It was the first time I actually climbed the sand dunes! Recommend proper sport shoes and not flip flops. You have two main tracks to choose - a shorter one (1h) or a longer one (2h). I did the longer one and can strongly recommend it. Water is included in this trip and it’s essential to have it with you during the trek as it may be quite hot on the sand. On our way back we also stopped on Nadatola Beach, most beautiful beach on the main island.

Environmental awareness at the forefront in action. - Excellent tour guide Sam, a wealth of knowledge and love for this special place. His commitment to the dunes and the effects of climate change on this area truly moved us to make changes in the way we use plastics. His stories on the walk made the trip worthwhile. A great afternoon spent with special men changing the way we think. Well done. Worth a trip to the Dunes!

This tour is AMAZING! - Rakshay was an amazing tour guide and host. He drove us an hour outside our airbnb to visit the sand dunes and the beach. It was very affordable and a private tour. He recommended which hike we should attend and we loved it. We will never forget this life-changing experience.

Allow plenty of time for Sand Dunes Walk - Sand dunes national heritage park well worth the visit took the 2 hour walk which took us 3 hours as constantly stopping to take photos. Natadola beach not so impressive with little shade and no facilities apart from a few weary horses available to tourists to ride. Guide and his father very accommodating!

Good trip to both sand dunes & natadola beach - Good trip. Actual guide was sick so sent someone else. He didn’t really know much about the sand dunes but at least we didn’t get lost. Was a good day. Only thing I didn’t like is the guide told me the aircon isn’t working, so we drove in the heat to the sand dunes from my hotel in Nadi. And then from the dunes to natadola beach. There I went on a horse ride and came back to find him sitting in the car with the aircon on. I questioned him about it but he remained quiet. So obviously it was working and he just wanted to save petrol.
