- Kofuku-ji Temple - Kofuku-ji Temple was established in Nara at the same time as the capital in 710. It is famous for it’s five-storied pagoda, the second tallest wooden pagoda in Japan just seven meters shorter than the five-storied pagoda at Kyoto’s Toji Temple. See this temple for yourself at sunrise!
- Kasuga Grand Shrine - Kasuga Grand Shrine is famous for it’s lanterns, which have been donated by worshippers. There are approximately 3000 stone and bronze lanterns, standing as one of Japan’s most historical shrines. It holds significance as the sacred grounds that inspired the presence of deer in Nara Park.
- Nara Park - Nara Park is home to thousands of wild deers. These deers are considered to be sacred because it’s said that one of the 4 gods in Kasuga Shrine rode the deer to Nara. The cute thing about these deers is that they bow at you when you feed them! It’s an experience that everyone should try!
- Todai-ji Temple - Todaiji Temple is famous for its Great Buddha Statue, the biggest Buddha statue in Japan. Until recently, this temple’s man hall was the world’s largest wooden building. It looks beautiful but once you know the history to why it was built and it’s historical significance, you will be shocked!

Ran by @guidemejapan on instagram. Nara gets very crowded during the afternoon and it could be hard to take great photos. Therefore, in our tour we go to the main sites of Nara (Kofuku-ji Temple, Todaiji Temple, Nara Park, and Kasuga Grand Shrine) before the crowd comes. Also, this tour ends before noon so you will have the noon time to explore other parts of Nara or make a day trip to Osaka/Kyoto as well. A great tour for people that want to maximize their experience in Japan!

*Please be at the meeting spot, 10 minutes early than the scheduled time. Since we have other groups in the tour, we CANNOT accept any late guests. and will not be given a refund.
*This tour will conclude at Kintetsu Nara Station. For guests that book the Kyoto Station Pickup option, the fee from Kyoto to Nara Station is included in the tour but the fee on the way back is not included.
*This tour has up to 12 people.

Perfect Nara Morning Tour: Beat the Crowds and Enjoy the Sights - This tour was fantastic! Visiting Nara’s main sites before the crowds was a great experience. The guide was excellent, and feeding the deer at Nara Park was a highlight. The tour ends by noon, giving you plenty of time for more exploration. Highly recommended!

Amazing time in Nara! - Me and my wife came to visit Nara and we had the times of our lives here! Everything was absolutely beautiful and what made our time even better was our tour guide! Our guide Yusuke, guided us around Nara and was amazing! He gave us information about the history, and also gave us fun facts that really entertained us. Thank you again for the wonderful day!

Unforgettable Nara - Visiting Nara is something you'll never forget! The mix of nature and history is really cool, especially getting to see the deer roaming free and the beautiful temple designs. The detailed lanterns and quiet paths make it feel so calm. I'm excited to visit again and explore this beautiful city more. If you're heading to Japan, Nara is a place you have to go. It'll give you memories to cherish forever!

Our fantastic day in Nara!! - For our trip to Japan, we visited three places in Japan which were Kyoto, Osaka and Nara! All of the places were beautiful and were all worth going! Great experience with great guides - We went through all the main part of Nara! The guide Tommy picked us up at the Kyoto station and went to Nara by train. His hospitality was excellent and we had enjoyed this tour very much! Thank you!

Nara Tour - This was our first time in Nara and we did not know what to expect. I think what made this the best tour was our guide, Santa! He was prompt, knowledgeable, communicated well, and went above and beyond. He even helped us navigate our way back. If you’re looking for a fun, interesting and custom tour, then I highly recommend you book this!

Awesome service - This Nara Tour was one of the best tours that we have been to in Japan! Nara is so historically rich and well preserved. The deer park was beautiful. With that being said, what made this tour special was our exceptional guide, Santa. He is a young cultural man that has an immense passion for Japanese culture! If you get Santa as your tour guide, you cannot go wrong!

Quite possibly the best tour out there... - Rowan had some fascinating insights into the history and culture of Nara and I must say, I had the time of my life with him. My one criticism was that the tour felt too short, but it must be because I was having the time of my life over there! Bloody brilliant.
