Definitely one of our best off-road experiences in Crete. Explore the mountains, forests, and gorge, and enjoy the view and off-roading in the inland areas of Crete.
This incredible tour takes you to the heart of Crete. After visiting an olive factory and tasting various qualities of oil, we head towards the mountain village of Kritza. Travel along ancient Minoan paths and through civilizations to discover the hidden Crete. Experience pure nature, wild landscapes, and breathtaking views. A highlight of your tour is the protected mountain forest of Kroustas. Then, we head over the mountains to the south, where we will serve your lunch in a charming taverna with mountain spring water. Far from civilization, you will meet our local host and experience true Cretan hospitality.
The next stop is the stunning Gorge of Sarakina, where you can hike based on your skills and fitness level.
A visit to Myrtos at the beach of the Libyan Sea (with the possibility to swim) concludes this amazing day.

Great trip, best guide - The restaurant for lunch was amazing and the guide was incredible. He loved his job and we could tell. He made the tour.

Amazing tour, amazing guide - Absolutely amazing day trip, our guide Petra was so knowledable, and answered any questions we had in incredible detail. Not a dull moment on this tour. Beautiful views, amazing food, and varied terrain. Could not recommend enough (and ask for Petra if you can, she was amazing)

Awesome day trip to the mountains and gorge. - We had an amazing day trip to the high mountain visiting the oldest and picturesque Krista village and having the grandest lunch at a local village traverna in the mountains. Our guide Thomas was very knowledgeable and we had the bonus of having a trainee guide (sorry we forgot your name) as well sharing their amazing life experiences. The guides were very thoughtful and made the entire experience entertaining for my 10 and 16 year old alike. We all enjoyed the adventurous hike into the gorge, absorbing the natural wonder and climbing across the huge rocks before having a relaxing time at the south most point Lerapetra overlooking the Libyan sea. A day well spent in Crete, made us appreciate Cretan history and culture which wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing guides. Thank you very much.

Beautiful surroundings, you cannot find or prepare these places on your own! - You can explore the beautiful surroundings with a sturdy 4×4! The views together with the professional explanations are unforgettable! Beautiful stops, especially the rock wall with spring water. Unfortunately we could no longer swim due to less water than before. Varied lunch well taken care of. Thanks it was a nice day!

Great experience - Great tour, we learned a lot about Crete in a very entertaining and pleasant way and were also able to enjoy breathtaking views. The highlight was the hike through the gorge and lunch in a great tavern.

Excellent Tour and Guide - This is a must adventure! Our guide, Michael, was excellent. He provided a lot of historical and mythological info/stories of the locations. He provided guidance with safety in mind, on how to navigate climbing the boulders. Lunch at the local taverna was delicious. Off-roading is fun. Would definitely recommend. Ask for Michael for your guide!

Worth the price, highly recommended! - We had a very nice day. We were picked up from the hotel at the agreed time and then spent the entire day enjoying the beautiful view, the delicious lunch and the company of the other travelers and our guide Rolf. Rolf could tell us a lot about local destinations and was a nice and funny person. I would definitely recommend the tour!

A Fabulous day - The day was enjoyable from start to finish. Collected on time from our hotel. Thomas our guide was welcoming and informative on natural history geography and history. Stop-off points were varied, small villages for coffee, caves after 224 steps ! A nice lunch and a visit to the Gorge ending with a cooling swim.
Challenging mountainous roads but felt very safe.
Would higjly recommend Thomas and this tour..

Beautiful southern and eastern Crete for those who do not want to end up in the tourist fair. - Wonderful discovery of east and south Crete. Unspoilt areas and gorges, yet cozy taverns along the beautiful coastline. No tourist fair in these places. If you want to go to Agios Nicolaos, it is quite doable in terms of kilometers; in short, a very nice experience!
