  • Derinkuyu Underground City - After driving about 40 minutes, arrival to Underground City. This underground city was firstly used by the local people as a natural deep freeze, later by the late Romans as a shelter against potential Arabian invasions. With the clear explanations of your guide you will spend almost 1 hour here.

  • Ihlara Valley - Ihlara Canyon is 52 km. away from Underground City.Approximately 45 minutes later, you will be in the entrance of Ihlara Valley.Ihlara Valley was formed by the volcanic actions of Mt. Hasan, next to Ihlara Valley. Afterwards, Melendiz River eroded the valley for millions of years besides the layers cracked and fell down. Eventually, 80 meter- deep canyon was composed. Whole Valley is 14 km. length. In the past, generally Christians lived in the several parts of the Valley; also they carved churches and painted them. You will hike about 3,5 km.Hiking will last 1hour 15m.Then you will arrive to Restaurant for Lunch

  • Belisirma - 1 hour for the lunch in the valley, next to the River. You will start with the soup and salad, later you will able choose one of the main dishes from the list. Lunch will be over with season fruits.

  • Selime Monastery - Our tour will go on with another movie- set-like place, Selime Monastery. At first look, the monastery looks like a castle, but shelters, churches, chapels, bedrooms, storages and big cathedral proves us its being a monastery. You get information about the monastic life in Cappadocia.

  • Pigeon Valley - Climbing to Selime monastery will exhaust you, probably. But till you arrive to Pigeon Valley, you will have about 1 hour to rest. Also, our guide will mention about some traditions, cultures and stories about Anatolia on the way. Upon arrival to Pigeon Valley, pigeons will meet you on the top of the valley. Pigeons have always been important for Cappadocian people. Their eggs and droppings were used for different purposes. For this reason, local people carved houses for them to the slopes of valley. You will see the reason why people call them \

Mind boggling Cappadocia, Turkey - Cappadocia, Turkey is a phenomenally interesting place about 1 hr or so by plane from Istanbul. Do not miss it!!! Spent two very full days seeing everything--the Green Tour and the Red Tour. Matt (Mertz) was our guide and is a real scholar, excellent teacher, and super man--perfect as the guide. This is a World Heritage Site and must not be missed. The area, comprised of 5 small towns, was formed when Turkey was under the Mediterranean and the volcano that it sat on erupted in rather small squirts, forming amazing conical structures of volcanic ash that resemble Indian teepees, some very large and some smaller that were hollowed out about thousands of years ago and used for residences, churches, etc. There are also underground hidden cities used for protection as far back as the Hittites, and you can take tours of these cities--truly mind-boggling and so worth the trip. There are lovely, interesting hotels throughout the area, some built into the structures, to stay in. This is truly one of the most interesting places that I've visited!!

Great day trip in Cappadoccia - We highly recommend this tour if your in Cappadoccia. We don’t typically do local tours but to avoid driving and enjoy the knowledge shared by our guide, it was an awesome adventure and we knocked off many of our to-do list items. Great food, and great cultural education. The stops were pretty short but enough to explore and take pictures.

A must-do if visiting Cappadocia - Selime our guide was wonderful, first and foremost. The tour was packed full of beautiful views and experiences, and the Underground City and Ihara Valley mini hike was our favorite! We had lunch by a river and the seating was beyond beautiful. Highly recommended.

Green tour - I did this tour after the red tour. If you are going to do just one of the tours I would recommend the red tour. While this was interesting you spend a lot more time driving on this one. The sites were very interesting and I did enjoy it.

Too many forced sales pitches. Just get the day done with. - It’s an okay tour. Too many forced sales pitch stops which makes an already super long day even longer. I rather avoid these and get back sooner. If it wasn’t for that, it would be a lot nicer. You eat lunch super late which makes the forced Sales pitch stops even more unbearable.

Disappointing for the cost. - Disappointed that our guide didn't speak very good English and was difficult to understand what he was saying due to his heavily accented English. Other tour guides around us seemed to speak much more clearly and comprehensively with their groups. We were given some brief history on the bus before arriving at points of interest and then left to explore by ourselves whilst the guide sat down and had a drink and a smoke. The underground city and the monastery were supposed to be the highlights of the tour but we were given 30 mins at both to rush through and then nearly an hour at a tourist trap jewellery store again whilst the guide headed off for a drink and smoke. Lunch was average but filling but more time there than we needed. Again the guide dropped us off and went and had lunch with his friends. Overall compared to other tour groups around us we had a lazy and uninspiring tour guide who rushed us through the interesting sites so he could drop us off at tourist traps and disappear for a drink. He also slept on the bus between stops.

Awesome guide, not a great tour - The guide was wonderful and very informative. The description of the tour not what happened in real life. It was 9 hours instead of 7, the bus had little to no air conditioning it was very hot!! Long drives to each destination. Buyer beware!! Again the guide was lovely and very nice
