Ozkonak Underground City - Ozkonak Underground City is the most captivating among 36 similar sites in the region. Initially used by the Hittites and later by Christians seeking refuge from Roman persecution, this underground complex boasts numerous interconnected rooms and tunnels. Inhabitants sought shelter here during enemy invasions, with rooms, food storage areas, churches, and kitchens on display. The valley’s small fairy chimneys create a surreal lunar or moonscape due to their unique appearance.
