Ozkonak Underground City - Ozkonak Underground City is the most captivating among 36 similar sites in the area. Initially used by the Hittites and later by Christians seeking refuge from Roman persecution, this underground complex boasts numerous interconnected rooms and tunnels. Residents sought shelter here during enemy invasions, with rooms, food storage areas, churches, and kitchens on display. Visitors will also discover fascinating chimneys and defensive mechanisms within the underground city, offering surprises at every corner.
Pigeon Valley - After a brief 30-minute drive, we reach Pigeon Valley, a scenic viewpoint offering breathtaking views of pigeon houses and the surrounding landscape. Historically, these houses were used to keep pigeons, whose droppings were collected to fertilize vineyards and enrich the soil.

Pasabag - Pasabag, also known as Pasha’s Vineyard, is situated along the Zelve road, between the lively town of Goreme and the traditional pottery center of Avanos. This picturesque area is famous for its stunning rock formations, particularly the cone-shaped pillars known as Fairy Chimneys that dominate the vineyard landscape. Named after Pasha, an influential officer during the Ottoman conquest, the site is also commonly referred to as Monks Valley due to the numerous monk dwellings carved into the soft rock cones.
Devrent Valley - Devrent Valley, also spelled Dervent Valley, features diverse rock formations and is just a 10-minute drive from Goreme. The valley’s small fairy chimneys create a surreal lunar or moonscape due to their unique appearance. Additionally, visitors can admire numerous rock formations resembling various animals scattered throughout the valley.
