Did not meet expectations - underwhelmed - On the good side of things. The driver was excellent - punctual, nice to deal with, the car was in clean and tidy - would happily recommend his services. I ended up cutting the tour short , mainly due to the attitude of the guide, Manoj. As somebody new to Delhi, you expect the guide to have some sort of enthusiasm for the city, and also to have some ideas when you're taking about a woman on her own about making them comfortable in a rather perplexing city. And Delhi is a large, spread out city, with lots to do. Also, if you're a traveler with little time who hasn't done their homework, it would be great to have some suggestions thrown at you, rather that being asked, what would you like to do. After an early pick up, we went to the central mosque. After paying the camera fee, he came in with me, gave five minutes of facts, then I was left to wander alone. Though fine on my own, it would have been good to get a bit more information on the place. The next stop was the Rajghat - the Gandhi memorial. Again, two minutes of information, then left to wander the gardens alone for 15 or so minutes. I was told the Red Fort wasn't worth seeing as it was under renovation (Friends told me otherwise) and some other places I recommended were shut down for various reasons. I was then asked what I wanted to see. With no real clue, I was offered no real suggestions. Borrowing the guide's wifi hot spot, I went to some friend's social media pages and found a place I wanted to go to - that was fine. The Step Well is a great place to go. He neglected to tell me a few more fun facts about the place., but I got the basics. Not happy with the guide's attitude, I asked to bring the tour to an end and asked the driver to take me home three hours in. In all, not a great experience. This was the low light of my time in Delhi. I'm sure the guide had a lot of knowledge, but I found his people skills lacking. Nothing was offered to use up the time. As I found out in the following days, Delhi has a lot to offer - it is spread out over a large distance, but what could have been offered - time in the Old Town, the Qutar Minor, Hanuman's Tomb, the Gandhi museums - nothing was suggested or offered. As I said, this tour was the low light in what was a great trip to Delhi. It would be good if the company had a plan for dealing with people who don't really have much of a clue about the city. Maybe he would have been better I was one of a group.
