Delhi, a city rich in heritage and modern architecture, is split into two sections: New Delhi and Old Delhi. New Delhi showcases a blend of British influences and is home to a plethora of monuments. This part of the city was designed by British Architects Sir Edwin Lutyens and Sir Herbert Baker, and unveiled on February 13th, 1931.

Old Delhi, alternatively known as Purani Delhi, offers a glance into the Mughal Dynasty with its numerous monuments and architectural structures. The Mughals chose to relocate from Agra to Delhi, creating a city adorned with forts, gardens, minarets, mosques, and more.

On the DELHI DAY TOURS (OLD DELHI AND NEW DELHI), you will embark on a sightseeing journey through both Old and New Delhi. This 8-hour tour includes the convenience of an air-conditioned car and the insights of a tour guide.

Amazing day tour of Delhi - We had a free day before the start of our group tour so looked for a day tour of Delhi to see some sites. We found Freedom Journey India on Tripadvisor and couldn’t be happier with our experience. From initial contact via WhatsApp after booking, to the drop off at the hotel at the end of the day, the service was 5 stars. Vijay our driver was fantastic - he was waiting in the hotel lobby for us in the morning, was very professional and courteous, and a really great guy. We saw the Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, India Gate and War Memorial. We were able to customise what we saw, and missed out a couple of sites like the Jama Masjid and the Sheeshganj Gurudwara as we knew we were seeing them the next day with our group tour. Akshay our guide was brilliant, very knowledgeable about all the monuments, and just lovely to chat to. We had a great lunch at a restaurant recommended by Vijay, followed by seeing the impressive Humayun’s Tomb, then back to the hotel. We had a brilliant day and can’t recommend Freedom Journey India enough. Thank you Vijay and Akshay!
