Additional Information

Embark on a journey of discovery through the ancient city of Delhi! Get to know the history of Old Delhi, once a fortified city, and its residents, particularly the Jain community and their dietary practices that contributed to the creation of many historical vegan food hubs located within the maze-like streets of the city.

We’ll traverse the off-the-beaten-path streets, decaying castles, and hidden rooftops, where I will demystify the transformation of Indian eating habits over centuries and how a significant segment of the city’s populace adopted vegetarianism as a way of life. Alongside, we’ll delve into the historical roots of vegetarianism in India, its connection to casteism, juxtaposing it with the principles of ethical veganism and its inception.

As we come across multiple vegan eateries dispersed throughout Old Delhi, you’ll comprehend that embracing Veganism isn’t challenging in such surroundings. And of course, no tour is complete without sampling the region’s cuisine! Excite your palate with gastronomical history as time-honored as the city itself!

A true eye opener - A woke walk, intriguing foods to trust and taste. Jain Culture is a culture that every one should be aware of: non violence, many-sided reality, veganism etc and ancient Indian Religion to learn from.

Terrible and dissapointing - Meet up address wasn’t anywhere near the red fort as described. Guide never turned up, didn’t reply to messages and the phone number given didn’t work.

Guide didn't show up - My booking was confirmed, I showed up at the meeting point, and there was nobody there. I tried to call the number listed but it didn't even connect. I received a full refund, but the experience of arriving as planned at 9am, waiting, looking for someone, having no way to communicate, and just being stood up was very disappointing and frustrating
