Agra Tourism - We were taken care of by our guide, Dilipkumar. He had a wealth of knowledge and was extremely attentive. The restaurant he recommended was also very tasty, which was helpful. The driver was also very safe and I felt at ease on the ride from Delhi to Agra.

Very attentive with my needs like getting cold water for me and making sure I am okay. He also brought me to the beautiful stores of the marble, jewelry, and textile. He also answers my questions about anything in India. Having a guide like him that communicates in English and very knowledgeable is a great help in exploring India without fear. Fantastic Sunrise tour of Taj Mahal - Pick up from the hotel is generally smooth. Driver Gurmeet is respectful and kind. Travel from Delhi to Agra is about 3.5hrs, traffic is flowing just fine in the early morning. Then, Sumaan, my tour guide met me in their office in Agra. And quickly we headed to Taj Mahal for a short quick drive. Sumaan is a professional English-speaking local of Agra. So there are authentic and important information he shared about Agra, about Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. This tour company is legit and trustworthy. Surely, I will get their services again when my family and I visit Agra again in the future. Thank you!

Great visit to Agra - The weather was extremely hot but it was such a great experience. Especially thanks to our guide, Khan, we had a great time. He is such a nice guy and has very good knowledge of history and places. Definitely recommend him!! I hope I can meet him again next time I come to India!

Now wonder that TM is one of the wonders of the world - Agra and its monuments are a must watch. Chirag was our guide and he explained each and everything so well and in detail. Had a totally satisfied experience.

A site-seeing tour and a sales-trap - The good: the driver was on time and courteous. The car was clean and well maintained. My guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions about the monument. He was with me the whole time and I felt safe throughout the day. I The bad: My largest complaint is that I informed my guide at pickup that I was on a short schedule and would have to skip the last stop on the itinerary to return to Delhi. However, after the Taj Mahal I was taken to a shop to receive a 30 minute presentation and merchandise pitch. Because of this unadvertised tourist trap, I wasn’t able to visit even the second stop on the itinerary and left after seeing only the Taj Mahal. It’s clear that the tour operator, Maria Luxury Tours, is aligned with certain on-site photographers and local shops and receive a share of any revenue these vendors can manage to extract from you. I would prefer that the vendor charge a higher rate upfront then provide you with a guide who will protect you from the many local rackets. Rather they just direct you to the rackets with which they are aligned. I would prefer my day be focused on appreciating these beautiful monuments rather than practicing my price negotiation skills with local merchants. There was then some pressure at the end of the tour to write and post a review before I departed, which I first politely declined but then had to directly refuse after several attempts. I suspect that many of the 5 star reviews here are similarly obtained by travelers who feel pressured or uncomfortable giving critical feedback. I think if not for the insistence that I write a review, I would have just accepted the sales tactics as “part of the experience” and not have bothered with this post.
