After sunrise visit of Taj Mahal take your breakfast and than proceed to Agra fort.

This is a grand fort built by the Emperor Akbar and it was the capital of the Mughals during the reign of Akbar. This fort was the home to the Mughal royal family. During his last days Aurangzeb imprisoned his father Shahjahan in this fort. Agra Fort is amalgamation of different architectures and palaces.

Your trip to Agra is not completed without visiting the Baby Taj or more precisely the Tomb of Itmad ud Daula. The tomb is called so because of its striking resemblance to the Taj Mahal. It too has magnificent architecture. The religious and historical importance of this building attracts millions of tourists from all over the world. It is in the vicinity of the Taj Mahal.

Fabulous tour guide in Agra - My wife and I had the opportunity to visit Agra with two half-day tours led by Asif. This was the beginning of a larger tour of Rajasthan. Asif a lovely gentleman, steeped in the local history and full of colorful stories. He met us at our hotel and took us to a local restaurant for a quick bite before our tour of Agra Fort - an immense palace (a mini city) which was one of the many contributions of the Moghul empire. This was followed the next day by a sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal - an absolutely stunning architectural structure with an amazing back-story. Asif is extraordinarily knowledgeable of Rajasthani history. He’s also quite insightful about current affairs in the context of the arc of history. He really helped us appreciate these magnificent places from the perspective of a local historian. My wife and I have toured many places with guides. Asif is among the very best.

Spectacular sights, insightful and calm guide - The morning itself was magical (check out my pic). Asif, our guide was patient and incredibly insightful managing a relatively large group and his English was superb. I highly recommend Asif as a guide. His calm strength was also evidenced when he went out of his way to help our group find the right train back to Jaipur when we lost our original one. Thank you so much for an awesome morning Asif and your sincerity.
