Additional Information

Guided by a local historian, immerse yourself in the rich and varied history of the world’s most renowned or ‘notorious’ street. Venture through Bourbon street during quieter hours to dodge crowds and interruptions. You’ll commence your journey near Canal St and conclude it at America’s oldest watering hole, dispensing drinks since 1732. Midway, we’ll pause for the official Louisiana doughnut and Big Easy’s chicory-infused coffee, a regional favorite.

Hear narratives and anecdotes about the city’s most celebrated cocktails and discover which concoction even caught the fancy of founding father, Benjamin Franklin. Uncover the history of Bourbon St, tracing back to the 18th century and the French royal family. As you proceed down the street, learn about its transformation during WWII, the demographic shift with servicemen’s inflow, how The Big Easy once housed some of the US’s top burlesque shows, and its reputation as a mafia hotbed in the 1950s and a hub for political corruption.

Great Tour! - I spent way too long as a tour guide in Savannah, Georgia, myself, so I'm super finicky about calling something a "good" tour, and this was a GREAT tour. Due to Covid, a lot of locations were closed, but Tim still found us some really amazing places to go and see, tailored everything to my own particular interests, and I swear that there's nothing about New Orleans history that the man doesn't know. Definitely one of the best tours I've taken. 10/10 would tour again.

Small Group Tour - Tim was super helpful & met us when we couldn't make it to our original meet up spot on time. He had tons of knowledge about NOLA & the Bourbon Street area. His tour was flexible, so we were able to slip into shops & such along the way. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful Tour for locals and visitors - I went to college in New Orleans and spent many a night on Bourbon st. but didn't know much about its history and rich past! I feel like this was actually the perfect tour for someone that used to live in the city and never appreciated the most famous attraction. Tim was super nice and made 90 mins go by really quickly! He definitely knows his facts and a ton of interesting history but is also just a fun guy!
