Your guide will introduce you to the ghosts, spirits, and criminals in New Orleans’ endlessly interesting past.

Additional Information

We couldn’t decide if we loved ghost stories or true crime stories more, so we decided to do them both!

You can almost feel the history (and the spirits) as you walk through this 300 year old neighborhood and former Native American gathering place on the Mississippi River.

THIS is the sacred ground where centuries of unforgettable, intense characters have lived, loved, fought, celebrated, made music, and taken their last breaths. Energy like that does not fade away; in fact, it intensifies when we tell their stories as we walk through their streets.
We will share with you the stories of hauntings, murders, rituals, restless spirits, mischievous ghosts, and some things we just can’t explain. Even skeptics love this tour, because everyone loves a good story!

The tour is 1.5 - 2 hours and covers about a mile in the world-famous French Quarter. Come after dinner and end in time for a night out on the town!

Location
727 St Philip St
Saint Philip Street
Meet your guide in front of Homer Plessy Community School. It is an elementary school, so it will be closed when we meet for the tour. There is a coffeehouse and a bar on the same block if you need to get a refreshment before the tour.

Informative and captivating - The story telling was amazing and the historical facts were great! Her knowledge about buildings/ former homes and references were wonderful to hear with the added bonus that she is a native to Nola.

Best way to spend our first night. - Scott took us on a fun and informative tour of so much NOLA history! The stories through the centuries are incredible and to actually see where they happened took us right there with all the voodoo, spirits and ghosts. Recommend this tour with Scott 💯!

NOLA'S Best Haunted Tour of the French Quarter! - Scott is an excellent guide who provided my girlfriend and I, a killer tour (pun intended) of the French Quarter! We were guided to various historic landmarks in the neighborhood and told true stories of murder, mystery and hauntings. l can't lie, athough consider myself somewhat of a skeptic, I definitely felt the energy and spiritual presence that encompasses the city of New Orleans. I would highly recommend this tour! Thanks again, Scott!

Absolutely perfect - Libby was absolutely awesome. I took tours from different companies on my trip to New Orleans, including a French Quarter tour and a Garden District tour. However, the ghost stories and true crime walking tour by Libby was by far the best. It started off great because we were supposed to be more (I think 6?), but the others cancelled. So it was only the two of us and Libby. Almost like a private tour. Worth noting that all the other tour groups we saw that night were about 8-16 people. Libby's story-telling is very engaging, informative, and really helps the imagination along. I chose this because I couldn't choose between true crime and ghost stories, and this was a perfect blend of both. Truly enjoyed myself.

ghosts and ghouls - Fascinating history around each corner in the french quarter. Scott was a great storyteller of the generational characters of New Orleans and some grisly crimes. (Glad this was our last outing on our Louisiana trip!) Our guide also gave us a new appreciation for other historical aspects of the city. Highly Recommend.

True Crime and Ghost Tour - Taking this tour was one the best things I’ve done in New Orleans. I have visited New Orleans two times and throughout my two visits I explored the WWII museum, the Garden District, Magazine Street, Chalmette Battlefield, and the French Quarter, but Libby’s passion, knowledge, and love for the city made New Orleans incredibly fascinating and worthwhile. Libby took my two friends and I on a wonderful true crime and ghost tour. Stories included pirates, nuns, royalty of Spain and France, priests, vampires, the mafia, Nicholas Cage, slaves, American Horror Story, trunk murders, and more. I would highly recommend Lucky Bean Tours to anyone and I am looking forward to returning to New Orleans to go on a tour with Libby again!

Once the excursion experience is over, you no longer see New Orleans in the same way. - Voodoo as we never imagined it. Mia transported us with passion to the French Quarter of New Orleans with her scary stories as we walked through the maze of streets which each marked history through the experiences of certain inhabitants of the 18th century. Absolutely worth discovering.
