Best swamp tour and guide ever! - This was a spectacular way to see the swamp up close and personal. We had the best guide, Ali (like alligator 😂)! Ali was so knowledgeable about the area and the flora and fauna, we received so much great information. We took fun photos and saw gators, egrets, an owls nest, and lots of other critters. Ali even knew the different frog sounds and was able to describe them for us so we could “find them”. It was a really beautiful way to spend our last day in New Orleans.

Quiet, isolated swamps; wildlife; and a great guide. Highly recommend! - Wonderful experience! Quiet kayaks beat air boats every day. We saw lots of wildlife (a few gators, owls, all sorts of birds, turtles, etc.). Nick was our guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the swamp and marches. We were able to go beyond the canals and get into true swamp areas where bigger boats cannot go. And there were no mosquitos! Easy, beginner friendly kayaking and a little bit of exercise. It was the perfect way to spend a morning. Thanks, Nick!!

Good guide, lots of animals, good times - Great time in the swamp with a great guide. Nick was outstanding. He was able to patiently assist new kayakers who eventually figured it out. The route was perfect. We saw plenty of gator, lots of birds, and an owl. Great, relaxing time. I’d recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience! - Our kayaking trip with AJ was fantastic! He was able to pick us up close to our hotel, and the drive from Bourbon Street was scenic and felt quick. The Kayak tour itself was beautiful and we saw a good amount of wildlife (many alligators!) AJ was very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife, and afterwards even gave us many great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Highly recommended!!

Great time with a fantastic guide - We had a great time. Alex was a fantastic guide. My daughter and I ended up the only 2 on the trip with him. He was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer any questions that we had. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone.

Probably the only kayak tour that you should take in New-Orleans - Awesome tour. Our guide was the chillest dude, showed great care and love about the place, which was overall contagious I would say. Very insightful too, knows everything about all the animals and the plants and so much more. If you are looking for a visit to the swamp please consider this: - don't take a tour that involves feeding the gators, this is extremely harmful to the ecosystem. - hesitating between this and going on a speed boat? Doing a Kayak tour with a guide allows you to take in the scenery and actually see the animals, since they are not running away from the noise - this is a safe tour. Gators are some of the laziest animals out there and always swim away from the big human folks

Fun informative tour - Great tour. Our guide MJ was great. Kayaks put in near the interstate, but witin 5 minutes the only sound you hear are kayakers in your groups and thw ildlife on the shore. We learned a lot of natural history of the swamp. Saw over a dozen gators. White egrets were everywhere in large groups. Wear your hat! Its sunny out there for the portions not in the shade.

Enjoyable Experience with Safety Concerns - While we enjoyed the overall experience of the kayak tour, we do have some important safety concerns that we feel need addressing: - Orientation and guidance: It would have been beneficial to receive an orientation at the beginning of the tour detailing what to expect along the route, especially in terms of wildlife encounters such as alligators, spiders, and insects. During our tour, we encountered an alligator crossing the river without any prior guidance on how to react in such situations. Additionally, several large spiders fell into kayaks causing alarm among participants, yet we were not informed beforehand about the possibility of such encounters or how to handle them. - Group supervision: We expected the tour guide to maintain closer proximity to the group throughout the excursion and ensure that all participants remained together. Unfortunately, there were multiple occasions where some kayakers encountered difficulties in challenging areas or fell behind due to slower paddling speeds. In these instances, the tour guide was often out of sight and beyond hearing range, leaving participants feeling unsupported and disconnected from the group.
