Highlights
  • French Quarter - Board a mini-coach outside your New Orleans hotel and start your 2.5-hour tour with a drive to the French Quarter, where you’ll find some of the city’s most classic architecture and interesting history.

Drive past Creole townhouses and shotgun homes, a highly popular style of Southern homes in the early 1860s. Peek into courtyards and pass by small shops selling herbs, candles, oils and amulets used in ancient voodoo traditions and rituals.

  • Jackson Square - A highlight of the French Quarter is Jackson Square, a stately park and US National Historic Landmark.
  • Garden District - Pass through the neighborhood of Tremé and the lovely Garden District, home to one of the country’s best-preserved collections of Southern mansions. Here you’ll see the longest bridge in the world, the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway.
  • St. Louis Cemetery No. 3 - Next, take a walking tour one of the city’s most haunted cemeteries, St Louis Cemetery No. 3, featuring above-ground tombs from the 18th and 19th centuries. Learn about the theories behind this unusual burial custom as you stroll the grounds, and hear stories about famous figures from New Orleans’ past.

Great introductory tour of the city - Great tour of the city! I wish I had done this on my first day rather than my last as Derek have so many options of things to do in the city! He was super informative and knew lots about the city and its history. Pick up location was super close to my hotel which was fantastic! Would recommend doing this tour as soon as you get to the city.

Good times on rollin' wheels - Rene was excellent and rapid paced - great overview of the City. I'd suggest early morning when it's hot so you don't cremate at the cemetery!

Well organized Great tour worth the time and money - We took the tour to get a lay of the land so to speak. It did just that. The bus was clean and the driver Butch was great. He was very informative and added enough local humor and history to keep the entire group involved. The Rest stop at the Distillery was very clean and provided an necessary break. We asked a worker a few questions and it occurred to me a 5 minute explanation of what was going on would have been an added feature. The cemetery tour was very interesting and Butch explained and answered many questions. Overall we found Butch to be an excellent representative of the Tour company as well as of New Orleans itself. Very entertaining and informative. He even took the time to find where people were going next to drop them in the best and safest locations or intersections.

Don’t waste your time and money - They said we would see two cemeteries One of them was two blocks away from the street we were on, the driver pointed at it. One 10 min stop at one cemetary Very boring commentary Then surprise stop at a distillery for the attempted sales The driver was very difficult to hear
