See and learn about the other story of New Orleans - We greatly enjoyed taking this small group tour and exploring the African American and Creole neighborhoods. Learning about their rich history was fascinating. Visiting the Lower Ninth Ward and witnessing the ongoing impact of Hurricane Katrina highlighted the long-term economic inequities. Studio Be, a unique art gallery, was another memorable stop on the tour. We couldn't have had a more knowledgeable and passionate tour guide.

Great NOLA tour beyond the French Quarters - Our guide, Jey, gives a great narrative about NOLA culture from the African American perspective and he is a native as well and gave great insight from local perspective. Tour is entertaining and gives audiovisual presentations on board the bus as you cruise around the city. Enjoyed the ride!

New Orleans - Finding our tour guide, Denys, was easy as he greeted us with friendly energy at our meeting spot. His knowledge and stories about the areas we visited were heartbreaking as well as informative, engaging, and hopeful. Our group visited StudioBE and saw the remarkable works of Brandan Bmike Odums. We will look for 2nd Line Tours for future visits. This tour was a highlight of our visit to New Orleans.

Leader Jay rocked it! Great tour - Leader Jay made it, knocked it outa the park: his combo of knowledge, down home humor & wisdom, entertainment, pacing, passion about NO with the stuff he showed & told us about? Home run. He helped clarify what was tourist b.s. vs. real deal NO inside places. From Studio Be to Loretta's to desegregation to restaurants, great. Thanks, Jay! Only suggestion is for a grand slam, do a bit less on Katrina and more on Cajun culture & other NO realities & history. Still, home run.

History tour - This tour was great for learning the history of New Orleans. The guy Jay was great. However I thought it would be more off van photo opts. 95% of pictures were taken on the van. The photos posted were at one of two off van stops.
