We provide bespoke tours of Australia’s world-renowned Hunter Valley wine country. There’s no set itinerary, everything can be tailored to ensure your visit to the Hunter is a memorable experience, for all the right reasons. Of course, you can leave everything up to us… let us surprise you.
Our tours are private and exclusive, ideally suited to a couple, with a maximum of 4 people. We never combine groups, so no strangers.
Your tour guide, Clive, is a wine lover with a deep love of the Hunter Valley. He has been coming to the Hunter Valley since the mid-eighties to visit cellar doors and attend wine functions. In 2009 he purchased a property in the valley (Lovedale), and moved there permanently in 2019. Clive loves conversation and is always happy to answer any questions you may have.

Fantastic day in the Hunter Valley - Clive was a fantastic and knowledgeable host with lots of patience for our shenanigans! He picked some wonderful spots for wine tasting and breathtaking views.

Clive was great! - We had a wonderful day with Clive. He was punctual, friendly, and certainly very knowledgeable about wine and the various wineries in the Hunter Valley. We were very happy we booked this tour. It certainly was much nicer than taking the cruise tour!

Personally curated, fully immersive tour with a new friend - We started with a questionnaire which Clive used to draft an itinerary, and then worked through to finalize every detail before we even met in person! Even then, we were able to carve a bit of extra time for cheese and fudge tasting.
The Hunter Valley is beautiful and serene, and we were treated to essentially private tastings with knowledgeable vintners. This man was well known by all, and this tour bears little similarity to American wine country tours. The people are remarkable, as were the Semillon and Shiraz wines we tasted.
Be ready to be spoiled, and treated royally by this affable gentleman to whom wine is a passion.

Best in the Hunter - Clive is a very genuine and thoughtful person who brought so much knowledge into our tour and experience.
Perfectly on time, a wine enthusiast himself who has a great love for the hunter region.
Such a pleasure to have used him again, would highly recommend his services and would always go back to him for future tours.

Perfectly curated experience - Clive curated the perfect tour for us, taking us to 5 very different but equally wonderful wineries. He was incredibly thoughtful, responsive and organized, keeping us fully informed at all stages of our journey, including providing comprehensive follow up notes for each of the wineries we visited. We appreciated his deep knowledge of the Hunter region and wines and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with him. We would highly recommend this tour!

The Best in the Hunter! - What an experience! Best tour I've ever had at the Hunter Valley. Clive has taken us to some of the finest Breweries, Distilleries, and Chocolate shops you'll find anywhere in the world, and his service and knowledge are second to none! If I could defy the rating system, we'd give a 6 out of 5.

Perfect day in Hunter - We had a fantastic day visiting several excellent wineries and a beautiful lunch. Clive was all the things you'd hope for in your guide - knowledgeable, punctual and good company. Communication leading up to the day was excellent with Clive providing great advice and recommendations that ensured we had a stress-free and enjoyable day out. The car was spotless and comfortable, and water and umbrellas were even provided. Clive's enthusiasm for wine and the local region really shone through - would thoroughly recommend.

Knowledgeable and punctual - Clive was very knowledgeable about the area and the wineries. He was punctual and informative. The wineries he selected were superb and lunch at Bistro Molines was outstanding. An enjoyable experience.

Best Tour guide for personalised tours in Hunter Valley - Clive is an amazing tour guide or I should say a friend who takes you to an interesting ride through the hunter valley. Enjoyed every bit of the tour - myself not a big wine drinker : Clive was kind enough to curate a tour plan meeting my requirements. He is always on time and throughout the drive and on the location - he is sharing some beautiful insights about the place. And he is great photographer too.
You should pick HeartOfHunter for sure if you are planning to visit any or most of the part of Hunter Valley region in Australia !!
He will surely make your trip memorable. Thanks Clive for your great work and sharing the details pdf too post trip so that I can keep it as memoir of the places we visisted.

The most amazing day out in the Hunter Valley you'll never forget. - We had such an amazing day! Clive was very informative and took us off the beaten track to some amazing wineries I never knew existed in the Hunter. The wines and beers we experienced we're so delicious as well as the scenery. Highly recommend Heart of the Hunter Tours
