Additional Information

Our tour will take us to the Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and the DUMBO warehouse district. After a brief visit to the City Hall area, we will traverse the Brooklyn Bridge, pausing for excellent photo opportunities of the beautiful Wall Street skyline. During our stop, I will impart some historical knowledge about the two pillars of New York City’s East River: the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges. We will then journey through the picturesque brownstone-lined streets of Brooklyn. After a pause at the scenic Promenade, we will dart through NYC’s most recent, creative and stunning 85-acre waterfront haven, the Brooklyn Bridge Park (inaugurated in 2010). There will be numerous stops for photos in the vintage-chic shipping and warehouse districts of DUMBO, Vinegar Hill and the Brooklyn Navy Yard. You’ll catch a glimpse into the historical roots of Brooklyn’s once booming shipping industry present in these cobblestone streets and docks.

An outstanding tour of Brooklyn with Scott! - We covered a lot of ground on our 2-hour cycling tour and leaned so much! Scott is a polymath. He spoke knowledgeably about the history of Brooklyn and the landmarks we paused to admire. We stopped at a few statues along the way and Scott explained who the statues honored and why these people were important to Brooklynites. He pointed out the various architectural styles along the route and how these evolved over time. He explained the history of the different bridges that connect Brooklyn with Manhattan, told us when they were built, the materials that were used in their construction and why the chosen materials changed over time. What we most enjoyed was our tour through Brooklyn Bridge Park and Scott's explanation of the park's development and the extensive efforts made to ensure the sustainability of the park - including through the selection of materials and reuse of existing structures. All in all, Scott is an outstanding tour guide. We're so glad we chose to spend a morning with him!

Loved every minute. - We thoroughly enjoyed the bike ride with Scott. His knowledge of the area was extensive and the tour was leisurely we did not feel like we were being whisked from place to place without chance to take in the sights. Whilst in Brooklyn Heights and stopped outside one of the stars houses, Amy Schumer, Scott was telling us that she lived there and the next thing she appeared in her car from the house and started waving and calling out to us. I like to think that Scott had orchestrated this as part of the tour 😂. Anyway it was a memorable moment and with or without Amy I would recommend this tour with Scott.

Excellent tour with an excellent guide! - The tour was perfect for us. Scott is a fantastic guide. He kept us safe on our ride across the Brooklyn Bridge and on our tour of a couple neighborhoods in Brooklyn. It rained a little bit on us, but the ride was great. We got some amazing pictures. Scott knows the area well and knows how to navigate the city streets. He's friendly and personable. We enjoyed the entire tour. Thanks!

Great Bike Tour - We really enjoyed the bike tour. Scott was very nice and informative. On our own we would never have experienced the areas Scott introduced us too. The length and physical activity of the tour was perfect.

Highly recommend this trip, fantastic experience - The Brooklyn Bridge Waterfront Guided Bike Tour with Scott was fantastic. We went on a Saturday afternoon. Scott was a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Before the trip- I was concerned that riding bikes in Manhattan and Brooklyn would be difficult- but the route Scott chose was perfect- surprisingly easy to maneuver without a ton of vehicle or pedestrian traffic. The sights were beautiful. The price was extremely reasonable for the experience. We would highly recommend this trip.

My niece Carolina visited from Greece, and we thought the walk on the Brooklyn bridge will be amazing - The actual walk on the bridge connecting Brooklyn to Manhattan was an experience. We were able to take pictures of the two borroughs and especially the bridge itself, which has an interesting history. The transformation of Brooklyn area ( DUMBO) to this trendy place to hang out and live away from the noise of Manhattan, was also amazing. The Brooklyn Park is a little oasis of nature for the neighborhood and visitors. My niece was so excited that she got to feed a friendly squirrel! Thank you Scott for a tour to remember! Evangelia & Carolina
